Last year, I finally painted my unit of “black orcs”. They were specifically chosen to be a part of my CD army theme wise.
I was wondering if people would object to someone using a block of 16 (25mm based) models to represent a unit of 25 (20mm based) models? as both are 100mm square.
I guess nobody would argue, as long as you keep track of your casualties (maybe using dice). If I were you I would simply ask permission to use them as regular Black Orcs…
I should have clarified some things a bit better. I don’t get to play any games much anymore. I did think dice or counters and name placards to remind them & me of what they are supposed to be.
I don’t need to field them as Hobgoblins as I have enough units of them painted for anything short of a “Taking over the world now” battle.
My hobby mind-set is still back in the dark ages when we could field all our slave races and I just would have liked them on the table with my CD’s.
You can always harken back to basic fantasy rules, the rules are what YOU make them out to be, you can change them up to fit your world. If you ever do get back to playing again, with whatever rules are out here, I’m sure you can find an opponent that would allow their usage, especially if they’re another old fart like me, who remembers when BO’s were the BOMB in CD armies.
