Hey all!
Quick question. If I wanted to use an infernal incendiary (large template) shot to nullify a regeneration save for the turn, do I have to hit the actual model with regen?
For example, I fire a large template on a hydra, hydra saves the strength 3 hit but 1 or 2 of the handlers die, does that count as hitting the unit and therefore the hydra loses regen? Or do I have to actually hit the hydra itself?
Also in terms of lets say a large unit of trolls. If I inflict 1 wound on one model does the whole troll unit lose their regen?
Thanks a bunch guys!

Ah, one of my favourites from the army.
The first question, the hydra would have to take a panic check, because as I understand it, the hydra and it’s handlers are treated as a unit, but in my view logic would say if the hydra is not wounded, it doesn’t lose regen.
The second question. The death shrieker has to cause a casualty to force a panic check, again, if the model hasn’t taken a wound, I would say it still gets regen
Thommy H:
A Hydra doesn’t have handlers or Regeneration any more.

Well that settles that little quandary. Any thoughts on mutli-wound units?

Just a heads up, you strip regen for the phase rather than the turn. Eg you hit trolls in your magic phase with fireball - no regen for rest of phase. In your shooting phase you shoot goblin archers at the same unit - trolls get regen.

Awesome! Thanks for clarifying all that guys
