so as everyone here knows, mr. whitehead was working on a destroyer, brought it to a gamesday, it got bashed online, was shelved.

any updates though? i don’t think the one he was working on was nearly as bad as people said, but whatever.

is he still working on it, can we expect anything?

It looked bad, but it wasn’t beyond fixing. The concept was fine, it just didn’t turn out quite right. I doubt its lack of release so far had anything to do with us, most models sit on the shelves for a LOOOONG time before release.

I had the same thought. Remeber Golden Hat XVI - K'daai Fireborn.
The K'daai Fireborn that showed up on Forgeworld had a significant appearance to Ishkur Cinderhat's 2nd place entry.

Seriously?

I actually liked it!... I really dislike the FW K'Daai models (the whole flaming dwarfs thing just doesn't sit well with me) seems kind of weird... not very CD for me, but the Destroyer on the other hand! Now that armored daemon'esque monster is something I totally dig. I like the whole enslaved and retrofitted demon motif more then the fire elemental thing, and like the notion of a bestial K'Daai Destroyer that the CD enslaved and armored up to fight, over a fire monster elemental. So I'm totally cool with it and can't wait for it to come out.

When ever that may be... possibly never due to how it was received?

You have to remember that the concept art from Tamurkhan and Monstrous arcana were out and could of been used as inspiration to Mr Cinderhats creation.

It's strange i like the recent kdaai model they just look awesome!

I really liked the K’Daai that Steve was sculpting and hope it’ll be available soon. I hope to get some news from the Forge World Open Day next month.

You never know it might even be on pre-release on the day :slight_smile:
