The latest FAQ has a ruling on p.3 that made me leery of answering this one definitively. Of course, a blunderbuss is not a pistol.

I basically assume the Blunderbuss is the hand weapon. Basically they use it like soldier have often use rifles, as a club. Though I’d love to see a Blunderbuss with a bayonet on it. I might have to see about doing that… looks innocent

I'm not sure I follow your logic there. How does the ruling that a pistol counts as an additional hand weapon affect blunderbusses or, indeed, handguns?
I basically assume the Blunderbuss is the hand weapon. Basically they use it like soldier have often use rifles, as a club. Though I'd love to see a Blunderbuss with a bayonet on it. I might have to see about doing that... *looks innocent*
Possibly, but (in theory) they have a hand weapon too - a sword, a dagger, a single-handed axe, whatever. It makes no difference to anything because a blunderbuss doesn't count as an additional hand weapon.
