javi:
Hi everyone,
After seeing in CDO someone making a Destroyer out of a Bale Taurus, and the fantastic looking of the finished mini, I am planning to do the same thing (1k thanks for the idea!). Although I am wondering whether buying Drazoath or the Bale Taurus alone. The plan would be using the Bale alone when acting like a destroyer, but also being able to play a mounted Prophet sometime, mainly once FW releases our dreamed Destroyer, which I guess I won’t be able to not to buy. And here comes the question for anyone owning Drazoath: is it viable to magnetize the chair of Drazoath in order to remove it when needed? and does the Bale look good w/o the chair? Or you really miss something when removing it?
Thanks a lot.
Regards
Javi.

javi
Yes, it would be very easy to magnetise the chair.
If you could live with a small hole in the back plate you could pin it as well, which would achieve the same result.
and does the Bale look good w/o the chair?
javi
Yes, I think it would. I've glued it together now so I can't check but i'm pretty sure the bit the chair sits on could easily pass as a bit of back armour.
From memory, I think the monstrous arcanum book has a a picture of the Bale Taurus in it that might give you an idea of what it looks like without the chair.
javi:
Thanks a lot Wallacer! I will buy Drazoath then, and he will be my destroyer for a couple of months!

I’ve built it yesterday and yes, it would be very easy to do, I concurr.
javi:
Great, he is on his way home!!
Thanks both,
Javi.

i have a pin in mine, that goes from the chair into the Taurus. The wings are also pinned in place. Makes for easy transportation.
Pics will go up on my army blog in a week or two when the model is finished.
javi:
Thanks Eudaimon, looking forward seeing a pic!
Today I have received Drazoath and Cinderbreath, and it looks awesome, but it is not perfect. I wonder whether I should aim for perfection only because I paid well over 80 EUR for the mini…
Anyways I will post some pics here of the things that have me a little sad about the mini.
1.- The upper part of the armor on the taurus is really bad casted, the top just disappears, first with very thin plastic, and then with no plastic at all:

2.- Drazoath has his right eye lost beneath what it seems like a piece of resin, although I have not been able to see this eye at FW website, and mane it is just a huge wart (I would rather see his eye though!):

So what do you think?, should I claim to FW so they send me these 2 pieces perfectly casted? Or should I live with it and understand it won’t be perfect anyways? (Was yours perfect, btw?)
Thanks!
Javi.
khedyarl:
Just shoot them an email about it - my Drazoath had a miscast right foot, and they sent one express shipping that I received within a week.
javi:
Yes, I will do that.
Thanks.
