Be warned - Kickstarter comments can be a dark place. Yesterday Mantic released an update mentioning the retailer exclusive mini (with photo, previously they had only shown concept art) and that KS backers will still be able to get it with Mantic points and that anyone who bought a lot will probably already have enough to get him (a previous update said he’d be 15pts and a base pledge nets you at least 6pts). Boy are there a lot of people with a sense of entitlement whining because backers don’t automatically get it :~

People go nuts about exclusives on Kickstarter. Some refuse to deal with anything that has them, others refuse to deal with anything that doesn’t. Anyone who gives a crap about exclusives should already have enough points to get that model anyway. Everyone else should be happy at getting what they paid for last year.

Agreed. The mini was never in the cards for backers, it’s something that is unrelated to the Kickstarter other than being for the same system. Or do those people expect to automatically get the exclusives for DS2 just because they backed DS1? Or if in a year Mantic produces an ogre expansion say and makes a pre-order exclusive for that do they expect backers should be sent that just for backing the Kickstarter? Their main argument is that backers should get it because without them, DD wouldn’t have happened. Personally I think that’s a bleep argument and the retailer exlusive is no different than the two examples I’ve just listed.
Most hilarious was a guy who claims that those of us defending Mantic by pointing out we backers already get lots of stuff free don’t know the meaning of the word free as we’re paying for everything we’re getting. rolls eyes

I’m excited for the “Adventurers Companion” expansion, being able to create your own characters, bosses and being able to play as an “evil adventurer”. Imagine the fluff potential! ^.^ A band of slaves breaking out of a CD forge or a band of Infernals and daemon smiths trying to recapture a temple over run with orcs.

I dislike kickstarters as a recurring system for manufacturing. Once or twice it's a godsend for kickstart business's but to do it every product release seems disingenuous, Mantic is a company now, They don't need to do kickstarters but they still do and i don't really like that.i would buy the dwarf undead king in a second if it was separate.Should have backed the Kickstarter then - you could buy a resin version separately as a KS exclusive ;P

Not sure, but I think Dungeon Saga is essentially 2nd ed, but remade from the ground up. There were add ons for the sets from DKH (just bundles of KoW minis really) and the Adventurer's Companion will have the DKH scenarios updated to use for DS.
