[Archive] E-Bay what was your best deal

Pyro Stick:

hmmm I cant remember the last good deal i got. I got great deals on bartertown though. 10 for archaon on foot NIB, 2.50 for crom and 2.50 for the limited edition sorceror on foot. But for ebay its probably the 36" of green stuff for 10. I saw a hobgoblin bolt thrower go for 0.99p once and i forgot to bid. The kordel shorgaar that was listed wrong last week would of been a deal at 1.99 but some other people found it and it went for 19.

hmm about 3 months ago I payed $180 for a painted tomb king army for my son on ebay. It was about $400 worth of models… was a good paint job also… He played it a few times decided he would stick with vampire counts, and then I sold it 2 days ago for $245.00  same army! WOOT can ya say $65 for nothing

You can get some good deals if you buy armys around the 2000 to 2250 point range. Ussually about $400 worth of models anywhere between $190 to $250 dollars… much better deal than you would get at GW! Then sell off what you dont want piece meal, and sometime’s come out with models ya wanted for about 25% to 50% of new cost. There is ussually only 1/4 of them painted also so no big deal.

Doombeard:

i bought an ogre kingdoms army for 120 which was half painted, kept back half of it , painted the rest up and sold it for 450. nice !

Wow that was a good deal. You probably pro painted it though which would of put the price up a lot.

angryboy2k:

I think one of the best deals I got on eBay was a large pile of mixed up assorted figures. I separated out what I wanted and sold the rest for twice what I paid - the lot included dwarfs, chaos dwarfs, all kinds of older stuff, and some Iron Claw squats. I kept the squats at the time, but later on sold them as well.

I just recently bought an inquisitor rulebook for less than five pounds - that seems like a good deal to me.

Still waiting for my “Best vultureBay deal”; still hasn’t happened.

IF i had to pick oen because I had no other choice it would be the whirlwind I just got for $26. Considering it has been going for double that at least.

rabotak:

best deal : 7 BCs for 10 ?

worst deal : 5 BCs for 70 ? ("$%")

Wow how did you get 7 BC for 10 ?? That is an amazing deal. Did you get it a few years ago when the prices werent so ridicolous?

rabotak:

nope, this spring… i turned out to be lucky once!!

rabotak:

…chaos dwarf was misspelled somehow and i guess i stumbled upon them by making the same spelling error…

which is btw a very good clue, i also won about 2k points of space orks this summer for 16 ? (with pnp) just because they were spelled " spaze orkz " :))

I don't know. I've lost track of what I've bought in the last few weeks. As soon as I get them I will access the situation. I know I'll have a few doubles.

Kyte:

My best deal didn’t have anything to do with warhammer, but last year, I got 6 Limited edition coloured LP singles with the Police for 10.

Thanks

Hobgoblin King:

Yeah in the past I’ve found good ebay deals on misspelled stuff like chaos dwarves or something almost all my army is from ebay, I havent got anything good in about 4 years though, besides three bolt throwers without wheels for thirty bucks american, bought 6 wheels for 2 dollars so I got three complete hobgoblin bolt throwers for 32 big ones, thats good. I think no one wanted them because of the missing wheels, the seller also only had 97% positive feedback. no one bid.
