[Archive] Fantasy prints and posters

Stampy:

Hey foks;

I am just putting the final touches on my game room and I am in need of some posters/prints to adorn the walls. Maybe some Frank Franzetta and maybe either dragons or some dungeons and dragons prints. Can anybody help me out by pointing me in the right direction, I would be very thankful.

Blackspine:

here’s two of my favorite childhood artists:

Clyde Cadwell

He’s having some promo give-away with purchases of older prints. Check out the ravenloft one too! This month only!

Larry Elmore

again, a fav. of my “Dragonlance” reading youth.

Enjoy the Gaming room!

Da Crusha:

When I was a kid I used to go to the local carnival and pay $5 for a dart. if I threw it and popped a balloon I would win a framed fantasy picture. they were big too like 2 feet by 3 feet. luckily I never failed at it. I used to have 5 of them, they had dragons and wizards, stuff like that.

Stampy:

Thanks blackspine;

Some of those prints really bring back memories of my high school friends and I playing AD&D together after school. I found a couple of prints that will now have a home in my game room.

Bolg:

I say a Labyrinth of Dark Crystal Movie poster is the way to go!

Grimstonefire:

Keep a regular eye on the Black Library website for posters. I have 4 now that I need to frame and get up.

Blackspine:

Another, more modern, favorite of mine is ashley wood.

He’s a very talented artist, with his own voice in paintings.

If you like gorgeous women, WWII-esque soliders, zombies and giant absurd robots (think of the Colossus from our pre-LoA lists!!) , then Ashley Wood is for you.

He has some great prints, but FYI, some of them are NSFW. so, be warned.

GRNDL:

Here’s some to get started. I’ve dealt with the first two and they are very good. They take a little time, but the end result is worth it. Larry will occasionally sell original art (I got a pencil drawing from him - very nice). Parkinson is unfortunately dead, but his older stuff is available for sale, originals as well, but they go for a pretty penny. All high quality archival quality prints.

Your best bet is to search online for artists you like, esp on E-Bay.
