[Archive] Fate of Nippon? - New AOS subfaction

Grimstonefire:

These guys are very clearly undead samurai. I’m pretty sure from the snippets I’ve heard there is no fluff connection to Nippon, but would be great if there was! Some cool models here.

Admiral:

Could be a connection and I’d like there to be one, though the aesthetic link isn’t strong. Created by Nagash to combat Stormcast Eternals, according to a friend of my brother who is looking to get back into the hobby and collect Ossiarch Bonereapers. Nice models indeed!

I’d be happy if GW revisited the concepts of all the peripheral countries in WHFB background, for Age of Sigmar in some form or other. Going by the original dropping of Bretonnia and Tomb Kings as too historically based in the flawed IP-thinking, it seems unlikely, but you never know how the winds may shift.

Abecedar:

If he likes Undead samurai, he should check these out.

Well worth a listen/watch. :hat off

Admiral:

Nice, thanks Abecedar!

cornixt:

Some of the armour looks a bit samurai, but I think that’s where the link ends.
