[Archive] Favorite WWII movie?

Ishkur Cinderhat:

Definitely A Bridge Too Far.

Though I have to say that I always found Triple Cross quite awesome. ^^

clam:

Das Boot is definitely one of the best films ever made. I’ve watch it a billion times - and can still be moved watching it.

For the more comedic style movies -I have to confess that ‘Where Eagles Dare’ have a special place in my heart.

Willmark:

Saving Private Ryan is probably up there for me.

I always liked Battleground from 1949 too.

sundrinker:

For me it’s got to be kelly’s heroes.

“what’s with all the negative waves, just think the bridge will be there and it will be there”.

Willmark:

Enjoy some slaves for the “Kelly’s Heroes” reference! Great Flick!

vulcanologist:

das boot and SPR are great but on a lighter note i love Where Eagles Dare … “Broadsword calling Dannyboy, come in Dannyboy!” insert Richard Burton accent!!

Ogrob:

A norwegian movie called ‘Max Manus’. If you can find it, I heartily recommend it.
