[Archive] FC's Special Characters

EffCee:

Ok let’s get this out of the way. I have a lot of armies. A lot. In order to keep this showcase sensible, I’ll just be posting Special Characters from my 4th ed armies, both original models and conversions/kitbashes.

To kick things off, I give you The Witch King, Gotrek & Felix and Isabella von Carstein.

Malorndk:

Malekith is very seldom pictured in the Black Chariot, but in 4th-5th edition that was his only mount option until 6th edition put him on his black dragon Seraphon. I have never ever seen a conversion of Malekith in his chariot so for that alone I will give you some well deserved slaves. Secondly, the chariot conversion is actually really good! And beautifully painted. My only “criticism” is hat his sword Destroyer seems a little too big, and that Malekith rarely wields shields. But that is very minor details and you should be proud of a job well done!

Thanks! The size of his sword is a fair point. I chose the most unique looking from my bits box. Malekith does in fact carry the Spellshield though.

Bassman:

This is one of the best 4th Edition Malekith I’ve ever seen. My compliments

Slavemaster Hod:

Really great conversion on the Malekith and the paint jobs on all of them are great. I am not a big fan of the Felix model, but I think you did it more justice than it as in it, the face particularly turned out really well. Can’t wait to see more.

EffCee
You are absolutely right. My mistake!

Admiral:

Neat Felix & Gotrek, and that’s one of the best versions of Malekith I’ve ever laid eyes upon. Well done!

Abecedar:

Beautiful. Except for the ugly Dwarf and disgusting human

EffCee:

Thanks everyone! Witch King seems popular so here’s a better look at the guy himself. Magnetised on the base as the Black Chariot is invariably destroyed before he is.

Bassman:

Wow, perfect miniature, much better than the real Malekith made by GW. The only criticism is that a proper lord need a cloak!

The rest is flawless.

Malorndk:

Super nice! I really dig it. Have you shared it on druchii.net? Do you have a dark elf army in this quality that I can check out somewhere?

zobo1942:

Stunning!

Wow. Cabinet quality :o .

I would reeeeeally like to see you take on Orion and put him together with Ariel in a diorama thingie… Also, with your skills? Try Lord Mazdamundi please!

TheHoodedMan:

And where did the beetle vention :)?

edit: Enormous qualtiy also in the models before. Seems I missed something until now :hat off

Thanks! I'm actually working on Orion. I would love to attempt Mazdamundi at some point.

Thanks! The marking on her face was freehand. I had no need for the beetle as I play 4th ed so I just bought her seperately off ebay. Yes the base is 50mm.

Carcearion:

Wow! Really amazing, and seamless conversion work on the reaper marilith!

Slavemaster Hod:

Really great job on all of it. How long did it take you to paint Ariel? That has always struck me as an intense min to paint. There’s just so much on it, but you did a great job. Thanks for the close up on the face, it really shows how nicely done she is.
