Admiral:

Really nice heroes! You’ve managed to make them look great with a monochrome style. :cheers

Bloodbeard:

That is a really hard colour scheme to pull off without it getting flat and dull. good job there Gnollbringer.

Never noticed the demonflasks on that model before.

Grollbringer:

Thank you guys! Now i need your help. I want to upload some more images, but my allocated memory on this side is full?! How can i upload more images like other users?

Bloodbeard:

I have a free picassa web album through my gmail account. Upload pictures onto there. Right click a picture and “copy image url”.

And put that url into

Doombeard:

Nice painting man! Cant wait to see the rest

Grollbringer:

Ok lets try.

Here is my first Khan

Grollbringer:

Death Shrieker

The Rockett isn´t finish jet. But on this stage i´m able to play with this modell so its okey so far.

Malorndk:

You are painting quite well good sir. Love it!

Yodrin:

Looks ace!!! Very nice colors and very well executed!! Great work!

TheHoodedMan:

Really good paintjob. Nice performance on the bases also. The right amount of details and clear structure from my point of view.

Doombeard:

yeah except the grass tufts could be scorched brown or black

Abecedar:

Looking great, Can’t wait to see your troops

Grollbringer:

Thank you for the compliments. I started some days ago painting my hellcannon, but i´m not happy with the ressults :(.
The glow and metal parts worked so far, but the skullhead looks weak. I tried a basecoat of Zandri Dust, with a drybrush Bleached Bone washed with Aggrax Earthshade.
Maybe i paint the skullhead bronze? What do you think? Like GW did.

Doombeard:

I always start with black or dark brown, then just do bleached bone (has a new name?) in a light layer maybe two light layers if it isnt covering too well, then flesh wash (reikland fleshshade?) then bleached bone again, then skull white . I’d stay away from drybrushing if you can and spend more time doing bits by hand. Try layering up thin layers, make sure to use watered down paints, some flow improver is always good too gw do their own its called lahmian medium I think. Building up highlighted layers using washes and highlights is usually preferable to drybrushing IMO you get a nicer contrast and transition.

heres a good tutorial on blending, some people call it feathering, (not to be confused with wet blending) use two brushes, one with paint, one with spit from your mouth on it to wipe away the paint around the feathered edge to blend it in. A huge bit like that skull is a great piece to practice on…

this is a great tutorial for painting white too

Onyx:

Great work so far!

Bronze will work out fine for the skull I think, though this really might be the time to put the drybrush aside and get down to some serious bone painting. I did the skull twice, too.

Fuggit Khan:

Very, very nice. It’s really hard to pull off dark colors such as you did, always such a high chance of it looking dull, boring and lifeless…but you have pulled it off wonderfully.

I have always thought that the hardest paint schemes to pull off successfully are either all dark colors, or all bright colors…both sides of the spectrum.

You’ve given them just the perfect balance of dark tones with accent colors, balanced with bright bases to really make your models stand out, they’re beautiful :cheers

MadHatter:

Looks very very neat, I really like the contrast between the dark models and the fiery bases.

I just smash all my pictures up with tinypic http://tinypic.com/

Sticklander:

Those are some gorgeously painted models! I am envious of your hand, sir! Do you have any troops awaiting us?

Grollbringer:

Long time no update :(. So here we go with some of my finished Infernal Guard. The eyes of the bull from the commando group got the same color from the lava-bases (wasn´t finished when i take the pictures)

The weapons seems really dark on the pictures… In nature they are lighter than the dark armour.

The picutes are taken really close. Maybe I should not do this, because they are for the battlefield not for the showcase:P

Hope you like it!
