Singleton Mosby:

Wish I could attend but sadly no. That model however is a must have for my DkoK army, this quartermaster is so much better then the normal one!

And there’s a new book released as well with even more DKoK in it.

Grimstonefire:

Which of those models will be more popular and have a higher resale value in the long run do you think?

I might pick up a couple at games day to sell, and one warrior priest for me perhaps.

bigdark:

The Warrior Priest is showing as a broken link to me -

I found a picture of it -

BoomBoom:

Wheres the man’s shoes!?!?!?!

Vogon:

First update from the line to get in.

Taken from the new catalogue.

fattdex:

Very good, happy with that. It fits perfectly with my converted scibor moscal bulls.

Yodrin:

that one is going to be mine, any date one release?

ste1221:

Seems like they added some sharp point on the bear, and also the weapon look different

thank you Vogon for the spy shot

Bassman:

Nice DKoK, bad warrior priest, I do not like him.

About Taur’ruk nice, I like it and always happy when release new CD stuff :cheers

but… he is pointing! Yes, we really love pointing

Vogon:

Ok a couple of shots of the Taur’Rick.

I am also happy to report that the Destroyer is finished and away at the mould makers so no picture.

Pretty much the entire FW staff are working on Heresy stuff and there will be no more CDs for the foreseeable future.

There are some new monstrous arcanum monsters which I’ll post photos of when I get home.

Cheers

Vogon.

Vogon:

P.s. the Taur’ruck is supposed to be out “in the next couple of months”

ste1221:

there is any information about the destroyer?

It will be based on the wip model displayed in the last open day?

So Gia and I are now in bugmans waiting for our food after taking part in the Titan v stompas game (Gia won).

Yes the Destroyer is based on the WIP from Games Day the back end had been re-worked but Steve does not know when it'll be back from the mould makers as Heresy is taking priority over everything.

Cheers

Grimstonefire:

Make sure you have a good look through the sketch books of the warhammer forge guys, as there will be some good nuggets in there I’m sure.

Also, are they releasing whole units of dwarfs for the new book or just conversion bits?

Also, is there a big LoA battle set up? I’d like to see some shots of that if you’re able.

Tnx Vogon, sooner the better :cheers

Vogon:

OK I?Tm now back at home after a great day out.

Warhammer Forge News

First up some better pictures of the Taur?Truck

Having had a close look I really like it and am looking forward to its release which I was later told is going to be May so that?Ts good news  Chatting with Edgar Skomorowski I mentioned the big hat on the Taur?TRuck and he said that the Chaos Dwarfs were always planned as a much larger release with Infernal Guard as a special choice and standard Chaos Dwarf Warriors being part of the army (with hats) and was pleased that the he?Td been given the opportunity to do the Taur?Truck and do the bigger hat as a nod to the old guys.

We spent a bit of time talking with Trish Carden, who is as of now the only person in Forge World still working on Warhammer Forge models and mostly bigger monsters. Pretty much all resources are being poured into The Horus Heresy

The Dread Maw and Merwyrm from the Monstrous Arcanum book are both complete and should also be out in the May/June time frame here are a couple of pictures both were sculpted by Keith Robertson

Trish?Ts latest project is a Mother Troll we spent a long time talking about this model, I think she took a bit of a shine to Gia who was in absolute awe of her. The Troll Mother is a huge troll and looks awesome so far. It?Ts still very much work in progress and while talking to Gia said she?Td even include one of Gia?Ts suggestions and when it gets released she?Ts got to spot it

Anyway here?Ts the WIP sculpt

And this is the original wax mockup

This will be included in the Blackfire Pass book but this has been put on hold thanks to the resource drain that is Horus Heresy. They did say that they?Tre continuing to make stuff and rules will be up on the website in advance of the book?Ts publication.

Keith Robertson is has also almost finished the Squig Gobber which not my cup of tea looks like an interesting concept and a fun unit to make use of (also for Blackfire Pass)

I also had a chat with Steve Whitehead about the Destroyer. He said that it was almost complete when we saw it at Games Day and it had been completed before Christmas. It is simply in the queue at the mould makers. It should be available by Games Day this year. Steve has now been pulled off Fantasy and onto Horus Heresy and is currently working on Word Bearers having just completed these Empire Command and Emperor?Ts Children

With that last picture I?Tll end this post and start the next one for the 40K stuff.

Cheers

Vogon

Vogon:

Part 2 the 40K stuff

Now my primary interest is Warhammer Fantasy but as the day was mostly about the new Imperial Armour book I did take a few photos of some of the new 40K stuff as well so here goes.

Heresy Land Speeder

Necron gubbins

More Heresy era stuff

OK that?Ts your lot for tonight and I?Tll post a few thoughts about the day in the morning.

Cheers

Vogon

P.S. I did take some photos of the Chaos Dwarf participation game but they?Tre on my phone I?Tll add them tomorrow as well.

Yodrin:

Great pics, tnx for sharing!!!
