torn:
my very first titan for space marine was a reaver, possibly the coolest titan, much better than the epic40k style warlords.
you thinking of a kollossus conversion?
Xander:

Oooooooh.
Haha, ya, let’s make it a Kollossus.
Sojourn:
it looks unnaturally large. I can’t deal with things that aren’t in proportion to what they should be… freaks me out! Good paint job though.
day-um Xander? lmao… that’s funny coming from you. XD
Xander:
I am a funny guy, what can I say?

Begin the innuendo!
Great models, nice to see the detail on it that they couldn't do on the Epic model
Knight Of Awsome:
Too bad guys im making him into a titan, how much dose he cost…whoa!!..hes like $866 CAN, im going with some a little smaller, like a clay made one…:o
Sojourn:
@ cornixt: lol. yes, that is a little sexually awkward now that I re-read it. hahaha
still freaks me out though… and at $866 CDN, I guarantee you, I will never own that.
GRNDL:
Its a beautiful model, but I’m not going to get it. I own a Forgeworld Chaos Warhound model and it is a phenomenal kit but too big to “get around to”. Its on my Build list, but I’m not sure I will ever get around to it. Its just too big of a project for me on my schedule. I do have plans for it though.
Ishkur Cinderhat:
The model is very nice indeed.
But Forgeworld are totally nuts when it comes to the money they charge for some of their stuff. Where is the points in developing huge, more or less useless models like the Reaver and the Manta that only 0.000001% of the community are going to buy? Everyone else is going to buy a car instead anyway for that pile of coins.
Arlon:
1100 usd my god
but its so very nice
the manta comes with an army inside
torn:
i have a feeling things like this were intended mainly for shop displays and things.
also at $1100 us, they would only need to sell one of them to make back the mold making costs. lets face it there isnt that much moneys worth of resin in the thing, so the profit is going to be fairly big.
Xander:
Ya, but R&D costs, production and operating costs are large. Plus the price point needs to be high as only a few will buy it anyway. Plus if you have you one, you feel special, like being in an exclusive club.
I think Forge World knows their market share.
Ishkur Cinderhat:
Yeah but take a look at the Death Korps range. It was said they made their money back within shortest time. Albeit not many people actually afford themselves a Forgeworld army, there is still a lot more profit to be made with such miniatures than the totally useless things like the Fortress walls, Manta and Reaver Titan. How long have they been working on this titan now? Half a year or so? That’s gotta be really expensive development cost wise!
