As i suppose, you have already put an eye on the new chaos dwarf army list produced by warhammer forge so do I! I’m working to adapt my present army list to the new version so let’s try some stuff:
LORD:
-Sorcerer prophet on great taurus with talisman of preservation, magic shield, lore of Hashut. 460pts
'Cause i love my moskal general from scibor! Great sorcerer and good fighter with nice monster that can fly and breath and stomp. What else?
HEREOS:
-Deamonsmith with dragonhelm and dispell scroll, lore of metal. 130pts
Stay close to the warmachines.
-Dark castellan with enchanted shield and sword of might, BSB. 155pts
Must have! Re-roll to all CD test and stubborn CD9. Quite resistant too, join the chaos dwarf warriors.
CORE:
-29 Chaos dwarf warriors with great weapons, command squad and banner of eternal flamme. 325pts
-30 Chaos dwarf warriors with great weapon, command squad. 325pts
-20 blunderbusses, command squad, shields. 305pts
-20 Hobgoblins archers, musician and banner. 112pts
-30 Hobgoblins warriors with shields, banner and musician. 147pts
SPE:
-10 Hobgoblin wolf riders with bow, spears, banner and musician. 115pts

Soooo… Until now, i have those miniatures:

Does the list from above is a good and competitive (at least a serious thread) or not? I must confess that i’m very attracted by the K’daai and destroyer…

What point level is this? 3000pts? The hobgoblin warriors/archers are fairly useless in my opinion and they will bring down the list a little.
Other then that I think you have a couple of solid combat blocks back up by the war machines and flying general.

Chaos dwarf army have been using hobgoblins since the very begining, it’s an important part of the army spirit.
In addition, everybody won’t be agree to fight a forge world army list, especially in tournament so i will have to use my ravening horde list where hobgoblins are very usefull.
I like hobgoblins, they are funny and use as meat shield for my others units, same as before but with a best equipment.
Love the backstabber rule too, wanna try it in few days. What is throwing knive? I don’t have my rules book…
And what are the movement rules for hellcannon? I remember that it could charge at 360°.
What about fire support? Do you think i have enough?

At the begining, it was my chaos dwarf sorcerer in in fortress but now it’s gonna be my great taurus rider.
I took the moskal general from scibor miniature, it’s a very impressive miniature.
What do you think about his equipment?
Stuffed like he is, he has a 2+AS and 4+ WS and ignore first hit on 2+ (stone thrower or cannon fore exemple)
Does he have right to take magic armor, being a sorcerer? The fact he wear a black shard armor count?

Yes he can take magic armour, so the enchanted shield is fine. Just like chaos warrior sorcerer’s can take the shield.
You may want to look at the armour of bazherak for your battle standard. Gives him the same save you have and MR 2 for the chaos dwarf warriors he joins. Throw in a great weapon and he hits harder as well. You’ll have to spend a few more points on him though.

Magic resistance really suck in V8, most powerfull and dangerous spells make force or I test with no wounds and chaos dwarf have the ash cloud and dreadquake mortar to protect themself against such terrible threat. Won’t take bazherak armour if i can have a 2+ save for cheaper with common magic items. Edit!

Sooo…
What do you think about blunderbuss? They are expensive and hit only on 5+/6+ with S3… Does it worst it anymore?

id keep the blunderbusses, there the essence of a chaos dwarf army, like the hobgoblins

You’d be better off combining the blunders into one unit. Unfortunately I think units of 30 work the best. Gives you the most benifits (re-rolls).

its a nice looking list there big fella my 2 cents 8th is about big ass units sticking around not giving ther points away.
choas dwarfs different army lists are great at this and i think that the WF list could the best of all of them at doing this.
if i read the rule book right the special option unit becomes core if you take a profit have a look at them as there stuborn your army can hold out for ages there also quite choppy so you can grind down most unit you will face. assumeing there not mindrazored up. or the lizzards heros with the +3 attack and +3 strength spell not much you can do about those

Thx, i will probably combine my blunderbuss units.
It seems that only a special character would allow you to play infernal guard as core and i feel like they are too expensive for what they do. What about the magma cannon? Looks terribly effective against infantry !
