Crowd pleasing.
Most interest you can generate for the model to get people to sign up for the Games Days.

It is nice, but is anyone else tired of seeing Chaos and Space Marines as the gamesday models. There are so many other armies out there. Since 2000 at the US gamesdays there have been 2 orcs, 1 dwarf, 1 kroot (like anyone cared), 3 space marines, and 4 chaos heroes. This is a little boring especially since last years model was chaos. I my opinion they should do a model from a different army each year. Except empire, jsut because the studio for some reason can’t stop making new metal empire heroes. The US gamesdays have been so bad in years past the model is the only reason for going, but even that is not worth it if it is the same stuff over and over again. :mad

So lame some armies (Chaos, Empire, Space Marines) have zillions of miniatures and other do have a 10-15 years old range! I know it's a business but they could better explore the hobby and fluff possibilities... at least for a special edition miniaure! x.x

I absolutely hate the concept that there are cool miniatures I can't get for reasons I can't control.
Not that I'm dreaming a Chaos Dwarf character (that would be awesome) but a decent dark elf sorcereress on a reasonable mount (steed)....

WFB Chaos is actually the best overall coverage, since it can usually be quite easily converted to WFB Chaos. Similarly, Orcs are a good bet, as they can be converted to Orks.
I quite like the model, although it is a little lacking in places. I’d like to see more Sorcerers like this TBH.
GRNDL:

AGPO:
Lol, GRNDL I’m pretty sure that must have been a typo
TBH guys I’m pretty sure most realists understand that the Gamesday mini exists for one purpose - to sell Gamesday tickets. For that reason they’re always going to come from the most popular ranges. GW is a business, they make what sells
The Brain:
I understand that it is a business, but you would think they would be more business like about it. Lizard men can out last year around games day, and skaven are coming out this year. I limited model for them would be a good selling point. Neither of those armies have ever had a games day model. And what about the Kroot Shaper that came out a few years ago, I don’t really see too many tau players using Kroot let alone lining up for a limited model. It is just a sad to think that in a hobby that is the pinnacle of imagination the company that produces it has none. I really think that business has nothing to do with it at all. I think they just assign somebody the project and whatever they come up with is it, or they just take a test model off the shelf and put it into limited production.
Bassman:
It could be just me, so take it with a grain of salt, but if I was a Chaos player I’d see no reason to got the nth chaos lord/sorcerer from Games day if I already 5-6 of them and most of them are already gorgeous.
Why not imagine if I see a super cool character for a different army I’d be tempted to actually start a new army?
Again I second The Brain, maybe associate new armies with GD miniature? It would be a nice market strategy to focus attention on the new army.
Henroth:
This miniature he looks a Drag Queen. :D

That was the vibe I got right away, as well.
Somehow I also have a feeling that they just wanted to give this old classic a reboot. :)
