Thanks two_heads_talking, but I think I am going to keep them! I started off coming here to learn about Oglah Khan and maybe how to make my own, but I like Chaos Dwarfs enough to actually start a list! I’m not sure if it’s that the list is so cool, or the fact that I tend to like lost causes (CD’s not being supported officially anymore).

I lost an ebay bid on a lord on Great Taurus last night :frowning: It got up to $37.50 + $5 shipping. I was hoping to find one cheaper.

Anyone know the going rate on the metal chaos dwarf warriors with great weapons. I’ve heard some people label these as “rare” items.

This would be worth a sticky…however it would have to be updated on at least a monthly basis.

Im going to say the going rate is something like £10-£12 but all of the ebay shops that sell them start the bidding at £14.99 so thats why the going rate is a bit high. If it wasnt for the ebay shops buying them all up the going rate would be more like £8.

They arent that rare, they were just never released out of the US or something.

Wow on ebay? That was a mega good deal considering on ebay.co.uk Earthshakers seem to be going for £18+ for a single complete unit.

EDIT: Ive actually just gotten hold of Two of those Chaos Dwarf with two handed weapons. The seller gave me a Second Chance offer of $10.50 with $4 postage so i snapped them up straight away and i cant wait to get them. Thats just as good a deal as your earthshakers! Buy one get one free!

I debated picking some of the great weapons up (I have a source who has 40 at the moment). Unfortunately they will never see the battlefield so I can’t justify spending the cash. The hand weapon/shield option is such a better deal.

It sounds like those must be recasts. Theres loads of recasts involving the two handed weapon with different big hats. Are you sure those ones are the real thing?

All the Great Taurus that I see sold from US ebay goes for around $30-40 + shipping.

I did see that there is a ebay shop that sells a number of Chaos Dwarf stuff for (relatively) reasonable amounts. I did finally get one of their Great Taurus for $30 + $3 shipping. Much cheaper than the two I bid on that reached $40.

yeah, I got 65 dollars and 50 dollars respectively for the last 2 Great Taurus I sold. the other 2 or 3 I have, I expect to get about the same amount…

Method:

perhaps we can make keep updating the first post of the thread, with the data compiled every week and a half/ two weeks…

it would be easier than shifting through the pages,

OR maybe we can make a thread, with ONLY the updated going rates, and nix the conversation…

my question is am i going to expect to pay more if they are selling the models with the box?. there are a few e bay items where the box i included and i was just wondering what price you guys think would be a reasonable amount. they are units of 10 and the buy it now price is £29.99.

ps. if i have posted this in the wrong place i apologise :(. and if that be the case could you poss tell me where to post ;cheers

Buy It Noew prices for chaos dwarfs on ebay are always a bad deal. I think my box of 8 cost me soemthing like £14, maybe less but that was about 2 years ago. It depends what condition they are in. If the box is still sealed expect to pay close to £20. It the box has been opened but the models are untouched expect to pay closer to £16. If they are painted, closer to £12 eventhough the plastics can be easily stripped.

£2 per model isnt too bad but thats close to what i would pay for a metal warrior. People probably want the plastics cause it is easier to build up a unit that way but i hate them (eventhough ive got about 80 lol).

I think i saw that group you are on about. Ill watch it and update the going rate for the plastics if they go high. But i wouldnt spend more than £14 on them since some are painted and theres only 9 of them.

that box of 9 plastic dwarfs went for £22. which is around £2.40 per model i think if my maths is right. i think that this might be a bit too much really. although i now do need another 9 to make a single unit of 20 that look the same. argh!!! ha ha
