It occurs to me that it would be useful if people posted at a sticky thread to show prices they paid or received for CDs, including the condition. Prices should be TOTAL, including shipping/tax b/c they are part of the final cost of an item. If they were a clear trade item (ie "valued at $3/ea figure for trade retail, etc) that would be fine too. Instead of adding another postentirely, just cut’n paste the entire answer adding your item. The last post will therefore always be the most up to date. I’ll start with my most recent items.
CHAOS DWARFS
Lords
Heroes
Metal Warriors
Plastic Warriors

I think a Going Rates Thread would be more useful if it was updated monthly with the going rates of Chaos Dwarfs on ebay. Trades arent a good indication of going rates cause one party might not know the true value and someone in that situation is bound to get ripped off, wether it be the buyer or seller and if a bad trade (for the buyer) is posted then everyone else selling will see that people are willing to pay ridicolous prices and then prices will be boosted and thats bad for us as chaos dwarf collectors. Theres already way too many ebay shops that have got their hands on chaos dwarfs and have boosted the prices to extortionate prices. Im happy to do something like this:
Chaos Dwarf Rates On Ebay - As of 18th Jan 2009
Chaos Dwarfs Heros - £10 Sorcerors - £8 - Marauder Mage - £20 Command - £4.50 each (although a Champon just went for £15) Metal Warriors - £2 - £2.50 each Blunderbuss - £2.50 each if in a large lot, £3-£4 if sold as a single model Plastic Warriors - £1 each Bull Centaurs - £8 each Lamassu/Taurus - £15 (The taurus is very likely to fluctuate up to £30+ on occasion) Crossbowmen - £3 each if in a large lot, £5 to £6 if sold as a single model MM90’s - £4 to £5 each
Warmachines Death Rocket - £10 Bolt Thrower - £9 - £14 Earthshaker - £16+ if complete Whirlwind/Tenderiser - £15 each
Hobgoblins Warriors - £3.50 each Archers - £2.50 each Wolfriders - £4 each Sneaky Gits - £2.50 each
Dont forget about these threads as well for when you find good deals:
Ill see what Aman thinks first. If he likes my idea then this can be closed and ill start a thread called something like ‘Going Rates For Chaos Dwarfs On Ebay - Updated Monthly’, then it can be stickied and ill copy what ive written here and include more of the 3rd edition stuff.
well, it’s certainly a more systematic approach than what I proposed…and actual sales are the best indication of values. So DONE! Only thing we might do is post prices in US$ and Pounds/Euros depending on the auction sources? The currency fluctuates so much now, it’s hard to make sense of it.

What, no blunderbusses?

They tend to go for the same as metal warriors but ill add it in anyway.
I was thinking about this last night and i was wondering what the purpose of this thread actually is? Do we really need to know the going rates? The only reason i can think of it being used is when someone comes onto the forums trying to sell their chaos dwarfs but are asking for ridicolous prices, then we can show them this thread so they can see they are ripping everyone off.
It should also be for someone looking to purchase on ebay or other trade sites, to get a good idea what is an acceptable bid/price for negotiation or to see if really want to bid that extra few dollars or pounds and find out you were way over the standard price.
I’m working out a deal with a friend who has hobgoblin wolf riders and wants my blunderbussess. I see here that they are 1:1.5 hob vs blund… he want’s 1:2 as you can see, I will deal him down or determine how badly I want the hobbos… I think this is a great tool

Well if its already been put to good use then thats good enough reason to continue. All members that have a lot of ebaying experience with chaos dwarfs should be able to update the going rates though. Like anyone could post if they notice a major increase or decrease in price and ill compile the results at the end of every month.
If anyone can change it any time as they wish then it won’t be any use - you could just change it and then point it out to someone you’re trying to rip off. It needs to be based upon one’s actual auctions or something.
Aman, I don’t think you really understood what Pyro said… He said we input what we find from auctions, then he compiles it… None of us will change anything, we will just post up our results…
OK…I am curious what kind of price I can get for selling some sneaky gitz. I won some hobgob wolf riders with some sneaky gitz thrown in. I don’t really need the sneaky gitz and was wondering what is the highest (without being offensive) that I can expect to sell them for? I know that you guys are trying to price out how much you bought things for, but a universal standard of how much they are worth could go both ways, too.

£2.50 each is the most i would pay. No one will appreciate it if you try to ask for more than that.
Eh… The mage I have listed on ebay just passed the $100 mark with 2 hours to go. I’ve never seen CDs go for the amounts they have recently, not that I’m complaining but this is approaching the plain silly… Martin

Thats the highest i have EVER seen a mage go for. It makes me want to ask the guy if he will buy my 4 for £73 each.

Chaos Dwarf minis being overpriced on eBay = silly, is redundant! ;)
So £2.50 will be about $3.50 with the exchange rate the way it is.

I usually bid for sneaky gits up to around $2.50 each.. I've got a few that way.. Groznit, if you are willing to do that per sneaky git, let me know, I'll paypal you. Just send me a pm
