[Archive] Going to London

Loki:

I have to say go to the tower of London , its an amazing site the tours area great and full of info and you will also get a chance to see the Crown Jewels, also backing up what other people have said the museums are great the best has to the natural history and the imperial war museum , you can also go on river tours from where the London eye is on a high powered boat that speeds down the themes and then does a the sight seeing bit on the way back and gives you a great view of some of London?Ts land marks.

Buckingham palace for the changing of the guard is also a must for a first trip to London

Also try Covent gardens for some shopping its a great little area of London easy to get to on the tube with loads of amazing shops and places to eat also there is a GW there as well :slight_smile:

But more important enjoy your trip :hat off

Of course no has mentioned the best bit of London yet… the nightlife!

I tend to go there about once a year and there are some great bars clubs and music venues. What kinda stuff you into?

Borador:

@starscream: im betting glam metal, everybody just loves glam metal :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

@Loki

The tower indeed has a rich history so it is worthwhile to go there (although it’s crowded occasionally)

Oh and a tip from my history teacher:

Best way to beat tourists in line: get up earlier than they do ;D (if you really want to go somewhere crowded and not spend 2hours or more waiting to buy your ticket, be there when it’s opening and stuff)

nitroglysarine:

Forget London, jump on a train to west wales, lots of errrrrrr… hmmmm… ‘stuff’ to do?

How odd. I absolutely love glam metal, have been a huge fan of Motley Crue, Poison etc since I was a kid.

Theres actually a great Glam Metal club in London called decadance.
