I actually changed the base limit thing as I moved this thread over, as you can see from the date it was sitting in the staff section a little while with the 20mm limit on it. Hence the possible confusion.
I said in the last GH I think (or possibly the one before that) that we would try not to only limit models to game legal bases, as it allows people to do a bit more of a display model if they want to.
Obviously for those who want to game with their models they would need to either pin their models down and not glue, or just put them on 20mm from the start.
The 40mm based astragoth dreadnought models will not be considerd as unit strength 1. Incase anyone was planning to do this. ;) Just shrink it a bit it would probably be ok.
Well since ive got a WIP sorceror lying around, im going to try and enter this. If i can just think of a good colour scheme. Its going to be so obvious which entry is mine lol.
Is the rule about the entry not having been shown anywhere before in force for this competition as well?

I was wondering the same, are you allowed to show WIP (not the finished model ofcourse) in your army blog? I see no reason why not it only shows the rest "what they are up against"..

Ive posted wips of the model im entering in my blog so im guessing its fine. But dont have an ongoing wip update of your entry in your blog.
This is for single miniatures, anything else on the base should only be small, or part of the base (like a dead body etc). Being a diorama would depend on what it was. Say for instance someone wanted a sorcerer sitting at a desk on 40mm that would be ok, but it wouldn’t really look like a gaming model. If anyone is thinking of doing a ‘diorama’ please pm one of the staff.
As pyro said, ongoing updates in blogs are not really what we want for this. A model that has been shown unpainted before can be used, but we don’t want people doing a WIP painting guide or anything in a blog.
