Subject Matter
Create an unmounted Chaos Dwarf Sorcerer. Unit Strength 1.
Basing
The model does not have to sit on a game-legal 20mm base, but it cannot be in a duel with anything. The base can be no larger than 40mm.
Particulars
Due Date: 11:59 PM February 28th 2010 EST (Eastern Standard Timezone)
Subject Matter: Create an unmounted 'Chaos Dwarf Sorcerer’
What is the deadline?
Once again same basic premise as previous Golden Hats; send all entries to the Golden Hat account no later 11:59 PM February 28th 2010 (Eastern Standard Timezone). Entries will not be accepted after that date and time regardless of how cool your submission is. (Around 6 weeks to complete your entry).
If for some reason you are having trouble with your submission, contact one of the Staff. in order to avoid problems. I “highly advise” that entrants do not wait until the very last minute to submit their entries…
How to Enter
Upload up to 4 photos of your entries to the internet. Next, send a PM to Golden Hat (a special user that all Staff have access to) containing the links where the pictures can be found. (Note: This is the same as previous Golden Hats).
If you win:
- Rightly take your place in the Golden Hat Hall of Fame, where your glory will be remembered for years to come.
- Receive the Golden Hat medal for your online persona *
- Everyone who enters gets a number of slaves equal to the number of entries. If 50 people enter we award 50 slaves to each person who entered.
*= As with previous Golden Hats; if there are more then 10 entrants the silver and bronze Golden Hat Medals will be awarded as well.
As usual once all entries are received a thread will be created for voting. And as always if there are any questions please PM me, another Staff member or post them here.
Time to finish my wizard. This is some good motivation! :3 Good luck all! (hehe ye my deathlore one which will probably be a winter/death lore wizard, taking one of both when needed ;D)
Could my sorcerer be sitting on something, like a rock, chair, 1957 Chevy front fender, or whatever, and still be considered “On Foot”, as long as he wasn’t riding on some kind of beast?
The reason why I ask this is because I have an interesting idea of where I want my Sorcerer to be. Without divuldging too much, I’d like to do something along the lines of Thorek Ironblow or whatever he’s called, size permitting, of course.
In order: Tarrakk Blackhand- It has to fit onto a 20mm base so it could be tight trying to do so.
Thommy- Yes. Like past competitions the model cannot have been pictured on the site painted; if it appeared in a WIP it can be used for this competition. Bear in mind however it tends to detract (somewhat) if you know whose entry it is. However at this sage we can generally guess whose entries are whose…
Gar- for default purposes of the site and contests unless otherwise specified Ravening Hordes is the default.
Is the Daemonsmith a sorcerer? If so, any sort of themed sorcerer is cool. Sorcerers are pretty much in every list anyway in some form or another.
@Tarrakk/ Willmark
I did think of that specifically when I was answering above. ;) The Dwarf lord on shieldbearers is unit strength 3. So whilst it doesn’t have to be on 20mm (for those who want to do a small display base) it does have to be unit strength 1.
A spitoon eh… nice… So I’m pretty excited about this, I’ve been sculpting off and on all day and it’s coming out pretty well, (I’m sure nothing compared to some of the work I’ve seen on this site - but I’m happy Competitions like this are really excellent, a way to get people creative, and encourage people to develop their art! Kudos to CDO!!!
