After a frenzied painting session fueled by a steady stream of coffee, fruitopia and nicotine I’ve managed to get my entry done. It was good to have a solid goal and a deadline to work towards for a change, rather than letting projects go on for months (years!) before completing them.
Now the anticipation to seeing the rest of the esteemed entries begins to build.

Wow im glad i finished mine weeks ago. I dont think i would work well with the stress you guys seem to have been under. I would probably of rushed and finished up with a less than satisfactory entry. I cant wait to see the other entries. What im most interested in is how many people converted a model and how many used the original CD standard bearers.
@Knight of Awesome: Are you sure citadel paints will work with the spray you have used?

I will be entering mine later tonight. I won’t be home until 8:30pm. But at that time I will be taking pictures and trying to organize all the entries for voting. I am going to come up with an easier way to compile the images, to save time. I have a few ideas so far.
Also, what are our thoughts about Silver and Bronze placements? How many entries should we have until we award such honours?

i would say if you have 7 or more entries you should have a bronze and silver placement. that way there will be more people without placements, and it wont be a farce, whereas if there were only 4 entries it would be a bit weird.

How many entries should we have until we award such honours?I think there should be medals for whoever gets 2nd and 3rd, silver for 2nd and a Bronze for 3rd. I think a min of about 5 or 6 entries before you award silver and bronze placements. Less than that and there should just be the overall winner.

I agree with torn, although I would probably go with 10 for gold silver and bronze (as it’s a nice round number!). A medal for coming 3rd in a four horse race would degrade the value of the gong. Setting a clear limit and having an ‘entries received so far’ count could persuade more people to enter future GHs (although this choice of subject was particularly inspired!).

I love the idea of 3 Medals, and 10 does seem a good minimum for that to take place.
Its hard to argue with rewarding more people for contributing, as well as rewarding the community for increased participation.
