Just read that BL have announced that the next book in the series will be titled simply ‘Slayer’ and will feature Be’lakor as the main antagonist.
Who wants to I’ve odds on this finally being Gotrek’s Doom?

Grimstonefire:
Interesting. Who is the author? I think bill king will write the final book, so odds increase if its him imo.
Dînadan:
No idea who the author is; just saw this posted by BoW on FB. Just followed the link to their page and then another to the BL page and it says that the book is part 2 of the Doom of Gotrek Gurnisson series, so I’m guessing it will actually depend on whether BL have commissioned a duology, a trilogy, a quadrology, a quintology, etc
Edit: Just checked further on the BL site and Kinslayer is going to be written by some guy called David Guymer, so presumably he’ll write Slayer aswell.
Dînadan:
Just googled him:

Games workshop series never end. It pees me off because a good story needs to end and they won’t end anything that sells. Horus heresy is a good example. I got 15 books in without a seige of Terra. It probably hasn’t happened yet.

It probably hasn't happened yet.Haven't been keeping up with it, but doubt they have. That said, there's a lot for them to cover, although why they didn't do books that covered the main parts of the Heresy from start to finish then go back and fill in the gaps (sort of like Star Wars where the films tell the main story and the EU filled the gaps with more, lesser stories) is anyone's guess (and it can't be because they wanted to keep churning out books, because that hasn't stopped SW EU stuff constantly being churned out covering the same short period; and that's before you throw in a Great Crusade prequel series and a Harrowing sequel series and if they got desperate there's also GoT-style politics rebuilding/reforming the Imperium series, a Dark Age of Technology pre-prequel series and so on *rollseyes*)
