vulcanologist:

Never seen a tube of green stuff before…any good?

silentbob27:

I have had GS last anywhere from a couple days to 2 years.

GRNDL:

Stick the unused part in the freezer. It’ll keep longer.

You need GS to be as fresh as possible.

frostbit3:

The GF9 tubes have been a lifetime supply for me.

clam:

Like GRNDL said - freeze what you don’t use. I freeze stripes in ½" portions - suggest you do something similar with your tube.

Da Crusha:

I was storing all of my modeling stuff in the car and noticed my greenstuff became slimy after mixed and also didnt adhere as well to other greenstuff, it would split at the seam rather.

since then I have been storing the majority in my freezer but since I do most of my modelling away from home I still keep some in the car.

Singleton Mosby:

Thanks for the tips guys. I’ve bought and worked with GS for the first time a week ago. Will put it in the freezer tonight to keep it longer.

Can’t say exactly how many things I can make out of it, but on average when I sculpt at the level I used to I go through about 3m at year of ribbon (it lasts about 4 months and I order them in 90cm).

Though the most recent one I had delivered the other day was only 50cm, for £6.48 including postage.  I figure I’ll order it in smaller batches, more often, now that I’m not sculpting as much and focusing on painting.

I never used to freeze mine as I went through it so quick, but I’m guessing on a ribbon left out it would remain “fresh” for about 3 months.  After this it would slowly start forming a skin and after say 6 months it will increasingly worsen the quality.  Which is actually perfect for what I’ve been sculpting at the moment.  So much so that i’m leaving the last 3" or so of the old for nurgle projects.

Geist:

Green stuff is ok, gray stuff is also ok a step up. When your ready to step up to the real stuff switch over to “Procreate”. Not only do you get more for less 12 US for Procreate 18US for gray stuff, it works alot better and you can do so much more with it. Very easy to shape and mold.

Thorne:

Usualy I can get a tube of greenstuff to last about 6 months. If I mix the greenstuff with miliput then I can get it to go as long as 18 months but that is very rare I can get it to last that long.

snowblizz:

I bought a set of GF greenstuff in tubes and that’s well over a year ago, two at least no I think about it, wouldn’t surprise if it was three. Still using it. I’ve had in the freezer but mostly not.
