Sweet looking modular terrain by Weta Workshop sculptor Johnny Fraser-Allen. And it seems that there is going to be a kickstart soon for these.
In the video he talks about it being for 3d printer files, but that seems to have changed to physical products. Shipping might be a pain for anyone not near New Zealand, but it still might be worth checking out.

I was watching this on Tested. Looks great. When I heard him mention 3D print files I was thinking this would be amazing that a company finally stepped-up and offered the files, will be very disappointing if they stick with the old way of doing things.

3D prints still very much in the works, we have never said physical only. This campaign is about getting the system to the broadest audience possible while maintaining a high quality control as a first step, if you knew what it has taken to get it to plastics you might not jump to that conclusion so easily. Also, you are going to be surprised at how affordable we have made this.
So… yay, ish. Mostly yay… … . Still a yay. I’ll hang on to that. While I like the idea of 3D printing my own I don’t have a 3D printer at home, there is one at work we get things 3D printed every now and again. It takes a crazy amount of extra work on a high-end 3D printer to get good quality 3D prints without the ugly horizontal striping. I haven’t looked into this for modeling but I’m guessing some slightly pasty plaster or similar product would hide underlying patterns while leaving the main details intact.
