Not much you can do if the company doesn’t have the money because it spent it all on legal defense or a large payout. Even Kickstarter doesn’t guarantee you’ll get anything for your money unless you personally sue the person responsible.

Bloodbeard:
I pledged. Paid for shipping in july. In November they said it was delayed. Here in February a lot of updates have been coming out. Now that they sell to the masses, I’m real confident.
I’m looking forward to getting my box and bringing haters to their knees.
Malorndk:
Is there any pictures of the actual models yet?
Bloodbeard:
On obscure spanish websites pictures can be found of models, furniture and so on. So they are out there. But nothing official. They’ve been really bad at communication - as in “no communication”.
cornixt:
Don’t cheer until you have the box in your hands. Especially if you live in the US, where it might get ceased by customs, depending on how much they care about board games.

I pledged and am actually going to Spain next week for a business trip, but something tells me that I won’t be able to stop by and pick mine up…

Hello CDO!
Are there any backers who have specific information about the release?
All I can find out is that the release date is pushed further and further.
When will it hit the market? Will it be released at all?
Bloodbeard:
Last update (11th august) asked all backers to make sure their individual inscriptions in the the lid was as wanted - because it was about to get printed.
And there are some pictures on the net of miniatures sorted in boxes etc.
I’ve backed for the entire package … still hope to get it one day. Paid for shipping last summer.
Kamphre:
The french translator has a website dedicated to dungeon crawler games and sometimes he has some news.
The game was previous for september, but it’s once more delayed. A group of spanish backers went to Gamezone office to let them know how they feel (almost no communication, multiple delays, etc) and what came out is that the game should (don’t blame me if it’s not the case) be out before december.
I think that even if Gamezone make the best game ever, their reputation has been destroyed by their lack of communication and community implication. They wanted to do another Kickstarter for a futuristic game, I wish them good luck ! :hashut
Dînadan:
Wow, and some people have been griping about Mantic not giving a firm shipping date for Dungeon Saga - glad we don’t have any of the problems HQ25 is facing.
Timothy Archer:
I didn’t know at all about this one. Like everybody else I did start with this game many moons ago. I remember my first try to paint the minis from the box. I bought maquettes painting so thick and toxic that the fimir start to melt, and I did try to save them by washing them with turpentine (worse as you know) and after a hand soap wash, it was a disaster ( but good memories know) don’t know which one to choose between this one and the mantic one ?
Dînadan:
Why not both? Extra tiles, extra heroes, extra monsters/minions/bosses/etc, extra doors and furniture, etc?
The Mantic one is probably the safer bet as they already have several expansions finished and waiting to be released and those expansions aren’t likely to get stalled in development or have someone try to block them on legal grounds.
Bloodbeard:
Go for Mantics Dungeon Saga. I tried to get my money back from HeroQuest to put them in Dungeon Saga instead. … No contact to the guys at Gamezone. Tried for months.
So I saw no other option than to pay for shipping, fill out shipping information and hope for the best.
Mantic have good contact with the costumers, are open about deadlines and make good quality rules. The Dungeon Saga models even look to be great quality.
And it’s cheaper.

Any news from HeroQuest 25th?
Release date 02-17-2016! Is this the truth?!
Bloodbeard:
Any news from HeroQuest 25th?Absolutely nothing since august. After countless mails to the customer service of Gamezone, I finally managed to get a response from them.
Release date 02-17-2016! Is this the truth?!

Herby:
Thank you for your answer Bloodbeard Sir!
That’s sad. Very sad.
Dungeon Saga may be a nice game. I don’t know I don’t care. I want that new HeroQuest!
cornixt:
They sent sample models out to reviewers in September. So at least stuff is happening, even if the proper release seems to get pushed back at the rate of a month per month, when they bother to tell anyone that it is going to be later again.

Some sort of news:
Kamphre:
Some people were convinced the game should be shipped for Christmas, but as we can see, there’s still a lot of work to do…
Kamphre:
Double post, to show one of the first painted miniatures :
It seems that the minis are really detailed. Hard to tell from this moving pic.
