Try to roll higher numbers than him, except when you take Ld tests, when you must try to roll as low as possible.

Shoot EVERYTHING at the bus. We have some sick weapons.
wamphyri101:
I would with my army:
1: 6 dice level 2 version of searing doom for 2 turns. Should wipe the smile off his face.
2: Laugh if his necromancer miscasts and takes half his unit.
3: Shoot knights in the face with everything I have.
4: snipe out the general if possible with rocket/hellcannon. He only has 1 character with lore of vampire, which means (if I am correct) if he dies he still crumbles, as only a character with Lore of vampires can take control
That?Ts it really!
Use a Khan to redirect if possible
K?Tdaai to smash up his chaff (stick him on a flank)
Hit Knights (Remember there only T3) with Deathshrieker, Hell cannon, Magma Cannon
If lore of Hashut, try and get the difficult terrain spell off.
JMR:
My advice would be to tell your opponent to stop making these uber-uber-uber lame lists. Alternatively, use some Khans or other cheap and fast units to redirect him all game long. Or, field your own Stubborn 1637-point unit and see how much fun the both of you have after rolling dice for an hour and no-one getting any victory points.
Seriously though, I actually get a little angry seeing people seriously considering doing this with the hobby. Ugh.
deadlydeceiver:
They’re T4… so Deathsshrieker has better things to shoot at.
AND they ignore terrain (if not, the Dreadquake would be ace)
Nevertheless:
Ashstorm slows the unit down and limits casting (remember: the wizards may only cast on themselves, not even on their own unit)
Dreadqake reduces Armour to 5+ and wounds on 3+… but well, who takes a Dreadquake…?
Lore of Metal, Purple Sun and Flames of Azghor should cause severe damage.
Speedbump-Khans may help delaying/redirecting
IF you’re lucky, he chose the flaming banner → K’Daai up his face. Destroyer up the flank should never be a bad idea.
Well, and as wamp said: Pray for a miscast on his side

I actually spat out my coffee reading that.
It's also how I once explained the dice part of the game to my gf.
Cheers for the advice guys.
I actually wrote this list for my friend, as a joke;
And hes taken it upon himself to use it for his upcoming tournament.
#onlyselftoblame
Grimbold Blackhammer:
If your opponent is going to show up with such a silly list, he has only himself to blame when you show up with 4 Magma Cannons burning him down and 4 Hobgoblin Khans constantly redirecting him.

magma is o-3 in <3000 games like all special choices :)

ash storm/cloud they cant charge or cast spells not on there selves =done
also if your up against an army like this and have time to write your own list 4 karns on wolfs would be a good feed the cavaly death star 200 points and cleam up 1200 points with the rest of your army
maded12:
That vc army looks nice but some war machines will take out those knights and BB love low armour low thoughness troops.
Baggronor:
Heh. It was only a matter of time before these lists started up I guess. As ever, it’s a one-trick pony and its not even a good trick. I’d love to be there the first time he plays against Ogres with the Hellheart That’s gonna be one hell of a fireworks show.
You can either try and actually kill the bus or you can feed it chaff and kill everything else. Either way it is risky for him to allow the bus to enter the same combat as any of his other units.
If you want to chaff it, a bunch of Wolf Khans should do the trick, as already mentioned. Or you could take the biggest unit of steadfast hobgoblins ever and let him fight that.
But that’s no fun.
You could:
Remove as many bats and wolves as possible with Khans and bowfire.
6 dice Ash Storm the knights every turn (take the Earthing Rod ;)).
Or you could go Lore of Death and snipe the Vampire Lord, as he has no ward save (major error).
A Hellcannon and a Dreadquake should provide some casualties and some entertaining difficult terrain rolls.
And for real laughs, take a Taur’uk with Sword of Anti-Heroes and get into those knights while carefully being out of base contact with the Vampires. You’ll probably have to pin him with something really durable with a large base size (we have lots of those ;)) so they can’t beat him on combat res or make way. If you can pull it off, thats Str 10 and 9 Attacks…

Another off-topic from me:
"What´s a bus??"
I´m sorry I´m no native speaker.
It´s just a matter of time to collect all your terms
deadlydeceiver:
IF I’m not mistaken: A (very) big unit (often cavalry) carrying several characters to the enemy.
It’s called a bus… well, because a bus carries people too
I’m unsure, whether we have an special expression for this in Germany…

Zuh-Khinie:
My guess would be to block the biggest fast cav unit with a destroyer, while pummeling the knights with magic and warmachines… for the bats, use some khans.
It’ll be a hard battle, but we’re dwarfs, we can take a heavier beating than this.
zhatan87:
No ward save, nor magic resistance on his characters… The major downside…
Death lore for snipping his characters, and khans for redirecting.
All you can shoot on his knights.
Good anti-magic : level 4 for the +4 to dispell.
If possible, your infernal guards in column (with a front of 1 to 2 minis : standard and musician in front) with your (probably) stubborn castellan in the second rank.
richard barby:
i think the vamp player has taken the wrong lore lore of death wants to be sitting at range shooting at heros or doing the purple sun in to a unit and killing most of it but the player has built a list that is made for combat and apart from the LD dropping spell once he gets in to combat his necronacer will be rubbish.
however if the vamp player had given him lore master lore od beasts it would work much better savage beast would be deadly along with the +1 strength and toughtness
Agalstrax:
my thanks @deadlydeceiver
Emperor Fooble:
We have some crazy cannons that can shred such a unit. A cav bus is perfectly formed for those tasty tear drop templates. Not to mention the lack of wards on the vamps, combined with the sheer amount of look out sirs 1-2 magma cannons + hellcannon and dread quake can force means you’ll get a character or 2 most likely.
At the same time if he is willing to take this kind of filthy list then by all means you can take whatever you want. And when you take 3 magma cannons, destroyer, hellcannon and a hellbound iron daemon to hold him up should worse come to worse, he’ll have no fun, you’ll blow him off the table and even if he makes it through, you can have a big stubbon unit of hobgobs to surrender no points.
