These are great sculpts, and I think they will be quite easy to take moulds from. Unfortunately they don’t fit the style of my army in any way, the noses are not nearly large enough at all :smiley:

For the musician I suggest a drummer and for the banner pole a golden bull head of course! :hashut

The thing with the massive lips is kind of a misunderstanding. None of my models have giant lips, thay have visable lower jaws...

I intend to cast these exactly as ishkur. Resin done in silicone molds.

Ishkur, does any of the detail get lost in the casting process?

No detail is lost. The casts of my warrior heads actually even show the glue that I used during making my prototypes.

I would say have the champion with his weapon swinging (overhead if you wish) or holding the handle midshaft and pointing with the other. That pose hasn’t been done yet to my knowledge. As for headgear? Hmmm… Open-faced helmet with horns? Look pretty good. Maybe a burnt face… Musician… Drum attached and his GW should be a mace tpye thing so he can whack the drum or the enemy. I just need to decide how many I want now :smiley:

could you do a comparison shots with gw chaos dwarfs, the blunderbuss mini comparison would be nice

The only command model will be the champion. The standard and musician parts will be bits to glue on regular models.

The only GW Chaos Dwarf mini I own is a Bull centaur, but I can take a comparision shot with some other minis (wood elf, dwarf, ogre, chaos warrior, etc.)

Why not try to mimic one of the Matrix poses? Maybe something like this one:

One hand just like Keeanu and the other (behind him) could hold a very spiky weapon :)
Just my thought.

One idea for the banner would be to make it like a plain sheet - everyone could paint it the way it fits the rest of the army. Other - create a kind of token - a bull's head or something along these lines.
As to the musician I like drums :)

Yet again, I am sorry for the incredibly long waiting time. Most of these sculpts were donr before christmas, but I have been doing a sketch-show at my school, so I left my combi weapon video cam at the school, so I couldn’t get pics. Another bad excuse is that I’ve been on a skiing holiday, which was great by the way.

I have of course finished the last 2 immortals, along with the command parts:



The Immortals command pack will contain the following parts: champion model body (Pointing hand), Champion weapon (Spiked mace), a banner, a hand weapon, a drum and 2 drumstcks.

The Immortals troopers pack will contain the following parts: 3 bodies (Mask, Bald and Helmet) and 3 weapons (Hammer, Mace and Axe)

All models will come without bases!

I’m not sure on the price yet. Each pack will probably be between £4 and £5.

The casting is going relatively well:



The Casts comes out of the molds with massive mold lines, but they are easily removed. What’s annoying me is the air bubbles, that I have filled out with greenstuff in the pics. I can’t figure out how to remove them, and before you give advice, I better tell you that these are press-together molds, where I wait for the resin to be half set and then press the molds together.

But if I can’t solve the air bubble problem, will you still want to buy the models? I hope so… Please note how much time it takes to fill gaps in GW metal models, so a few bubbles to fill in resin casts isn’t a big deal. Still darn annoying though.

Inspired by Kobarf’s squig, I made a BSFP-style squig handler team:



And a NG Shaman:



He probably can’t read the book, but It’s a nice touch, although it’s plague monk rip off.

PS: It’s hair on the staff, not fire. Speaking of the staff, does anybody have any ideas for bling and details that could be strapped to the staff?

I don’t know if I’ll cast these… Is anyone interested?

This girl from my school saw my sculpts and drew me a vamp to make. I’m pretty pleased with the sculpt, though I might want to redo the face. She’s a Von Carstein, Not a Lahmian.

It’s still WIP by the way.

And just to show, The immortals can actually rank up:



It will probably be even easier to rank them up when glued. Right now, they’re just balancing on the bases.

The unfinished sculpt will eventually turn into an immortal-style Chaos dwarf lord with a bull mask and triangular scale mail. The hammer will be similar to the one on the painted immortal pic, just a bit bigger and spikier.
