With a lot of members around here releasing their own miniatures, it might be of interest to know the best way to get exposure and make your products stick around over on the Ninth Age.
First, if you’re doing lots of releases over time, it might be worth setting up a company showcase thread here. But for only one or a few sporadic releases, it might not be called for.
Apart from that, whenever you release something new, make sure you announce it threefold on T9A. Here we take Carcearion’s Bit Forge as an example:
- First, in an announcement thread of its own in the correct army forum (ID).
- Then, in the general Infernal Dwarf models sticky thread, to which many subscribe for a flow of updates and ideas.
- And importantly for long-term sales, in T9A miniature Wiki, like this. (Note that edits to posts or entirely new entries have to be approved by a moderator, so any changes won’t be visible at once.)
The 9th Age miniature Wiki will allow your products to stick around and be stumbled across by collectors browsing this model library for purchases to their army, for years to come.
Just take care to follow the formula established for the Wiki articles, with spoiler tags, links, material etc. Blend in and display your products as well as possible.
Pyro Stick’s Kaosnick and Blood Bowl Chaos Dwarf thrower (sculpted by Rozmax). In the Wiki, the relevant entries are Hobgoblin Chieftain and Fantasy Football respectively. As for the Hobgoblin Chieftain entry, it is divided into mounted and on foot miniatures. Since the Kaosnick rides around on an impossible unicycle, it is a mounted character.
Finally, note that any private messages over on the Ninth Age forum will only be notified on the forum itself, never via E-mail notifications. So if you sell directly via T9A some regular logging in might be in order. To cut away this particular bit, refer to an external selling site or E-mail address.
