I need a bit of help, here. I’m building an Abyssal Dwarf army for Kings of War and am looking for a Great Taurus (filling the role of an Abyssal Dragon) and Lammasu (AKA Great Winged Halfbreed), but ideally I’d like two that are roughly the same size. So I was wondering, could someone with some or all of the models below post a size comparison picture so I can see how they compare? I’d like to see if mixing and matching monsters from different lines (Old GW, Forge World, Mantic) would be feasible without looking out of place.
To my knowledge, the GW Taurus and Lammasu were both on 50mm bases (I could be wrong) originally. The Bale Taurus is on a Chariot base or larger, based on what I have seen.
Thanks for the link. Yeah, the Forge World one is noticeably bigger. I’d like to see it compared to the Mantic model, though. Ideally, they’d be about the same size, as I’d like to have both models in my upcoming army.
I haven’t got a Bale Taurus, but I’ve done a rough pic of a Lammasu and the Mantic Great Winged Abyssal Thingie, that is an ongoing project It uses the same body as for the Mantic dragon I think.
I’d love to see the Bale Taurus compared to the Great Winged Halfbreed. Those two are my best bets without having to pay exorbitant eBay prices, so ideally it’d be great if they were roughly the same size. The shame of the Bale Taurus, though, is that they have a Sorcerer mounted on it. What I wouldn’t have given for that to have been a warrior.
