Not sure if this has been posted or not yet … But I read somewhere ( I believe in the kdaii destroyer wip blog) that someone received an email from FW stating that the destroyer would not be the last release as far as chaos dwarfs? Does any one know If this is definantly true ? And if so what are you guys hoping for?
I’m hoping for some great weapon arms for converting(for IG and bull centaurs),blunderbussers or even just the guns to use with IG as well…
maybe a command unit for the bull centaurs or at least a musician and standard bearer…

Something like a bsb with a standard/flag,maybe a cool helmet/mask(of the furnace;))
I would love love love love to see an “Overlord”(give us another option for a lord choice that doesn’t have to be magical an give him a set of "trial"rules,stronger and tougher without the magic )he would be without a helmet/hat , something like the IG command leader with some badass horns,mayb a stronger version of the Blackshard armor and a big ol halberd or hammer . That would be my most wanted character.
Or maybe just give two different heads for the lord–1 without hat and big ol evil looking horns and 1 with a badass helmet…
I’d also really love to see a llamasu like the one they did a “test” model of a while back but supposedly it was just a “test model” or something and it’s never gonna be released
What would you guys like to see from Forgeworld if they do continue the chaos dwarf range after the destroyer ?
I received this e-mail from FW regarding the release of the K’Daai destroyer, also when I spoke to them they mentioned A possible Lamasu, however the guy said this was a rumor in the office.
“We do not have a date for the K’daai Destroyer. We would think it would be in the first half of this year.
If there is anything further we can do to assist you, or if you have any queries about the information we have requested or provided, please telephone us.
Great weapon and Blunderbuss Infernal Guard, big hat (or mask/Hellcannon style) Chaos Dwarf Warriors, shiny Ironsworn, Lammasu, Hobgoblin characters, Hobgoblin upgrade kit (heads, knives) for existing plastic kits. And maybe even actual Hobgoblin infantry and cavalry model if the character and upgrade bit releases would prove the market to be lucrative enough for such an investment.
Those are the basic necessities for the army. Otherwise it would be nice with further train carriages, in effect a rifleman platform and perhaps another warmachine which is more possessed and unstable like the Hellcannon is, sharing much aesthetics with the Hellcannon.
And of course another big monster construct. Or two. It’s mechanical, it’s Chaos, so it wouldn’t be unfamiliar territory for some of the FW sculptors who usually do 40k.
Perhaps some sacrificial war altar of Hashut, probably stationary and likely functioning a bit like a war machine like those mentioned in Throne of Tamurkhan.
To my knowledge, The Lammasu picture is a test model produced by a sculptor wanting to join the company. I am currently trying to find out further details through sources and will keep you updated if I find out which sculptor or any possibilities for release. I have already offered to pay for a possible commission on the model, having held it, it is a truely special model in comparison to the existing Lammasu, although it is generally stated by FW that this model will not be released as GW already make a suitable model.
The information FW has been giving is the Destroyer will be unfortunatley the last thing released for Chaos Dwarfs.

That's what they've told me too.
I really hope someone makes arms/hands that work with the current BC models so we can make a standard bearer, musician, or give them GWs. I asked FW and they said they have no plans to do that and gave me conversion advice... nice of them but not what I was looking for.
I still haven't bought BCs because I don't know what to do. My modelling skills are terrible.

But they should do in the future. It's simple market logic. They should just change their minds and go for the money.
There might be some dormant completionist streak which makes FW return to Chaos Dwarfs whenever they've finished most of their full-team, full-time efforts with Horus Heresy releases in a couple of years' time or so. It wouldn't be odd in the slightest. They've released weapon kits for 40k and variants of infantry squads, so why not a similar take on their own Warhammer army?
The flipside of this Forgeworld refusal is the fertile ground it creates for minor competitor companies like Titan Wargames and Russian Alternative to capitalize on this blind spot.
@danzig - I agree … I’m not good with converting or anything like tht either and it would be awesome for them to do. Although currently I suppose I’m satisfied with my unit of 3 centaurs , would be lovely once I decide to expand
@admiral - completely totally agree … They do it for 40k … Why not warhammer ? Especially since their own damn army (legion of Azgorh) offers all those different weapon options and such but they don’t supply any models to use for them…
@grimstonefire- YES or at least a different standard so every IG unit doesn’t have the same flag …
I can’t express enough though how much I would love to see a non magical lord (stronger and tougher) more of a mellee/combat lord… With no helmet and horns lol and some cool ass heavy armour and a cool great weapon or two hand weapons
