Hi guysI also really wanted to see one painted so I went to a 60+ person tournament, not a single one there but there were plenty of Warriors of chaos armies.

thanks…I’ve used it twice so far and it did ok,not sure what its best use is, but i’ll figure it out eventually,I think the other configuration is probably a better bet .I’ve started painting all of my Chaos troops spattered with blood so they don’t look all clean and fresh…:hat off

Richard its turned out great, i’ve assembled the vortex beast. the the thing is sat on my shelf taunting me at the mo as i cant make up my mind as to what scheme to paint it im torn between nurgle/greeny or dark blue/purple.
i must admit when i look at the vortex beast pics it reminds me of Cthulhu.

Nice work Richard. If you don’t mind me asking, how big is the head compared to a Bloodthirster? I’m thinking about using it in a conversion but nobody in my area has the model for me to get an idea of scale.

The Slughterbrute’s head is significantly bigger than a Bloodthirster’s but as I’ve never assembled a thirster, I’m guesstimating. The model comes with two heads - one with the tongues coming out and one without. I’d toss my extra Slaughterbrute’s head to you if you weren’t across the big ocean.
