[Archive] Incan dwarfs

Torped:

Guys, I had an idea. Listen. What if, what if…

There where incan dwarfs.

Think about it. Building homes in the mountains, famous for stone and metal work, loved gold, it all makes sense. I think I am gonna work on a test model for this. What do you guys think?

Da Crusha:

it wouldn’t be my cup of tea but if that’s what you want to do, give it a shot. on the other hand, dwarfs also wear heavy suits of armor and have very long beards, both of which Incan civilizations did not.

that guy:

plenty of bits to be had from the lizardmen.Could be cool.

Maybe you can just put some beards on skinks lol.

Be sure to show off your work.

snowblizz:

There’s a lost hold* on the Warhammer map in the Southlands, in what is effectively Lizardmen country, in the “african jungle” as opposed to the better known Lustrian jungle.

So yeah why not.

*I’m not sure how a lost hold can be on a map  and still be lost but…

Firehammer:

You can get some inspiration by thes Incan Gnomes, called Bloodstone Gnomes, by Reaper:

Khan!:

Do it! Sounds awesome. Challenge conventional wisdom! Pictures when you’re finished please.

nitroglysarine:

I made some Incan larp weapons a few years ago,

the sharp edges were all obsidian, and lots of gold for decoration.

It would look cool, but i’d be tempted to leave it to the lizards myself.

But I’d love to see it in ‘the flesh’

ingtar_shinowa:

Neat idea and cool conversion process!

Hazkar:

sounds interesting

sounds like lots of cool conversions

give it a try, could be a very cool project

Ishkur Cinderhat:

Hm, the Incan theme has already been done with the lizardmen. While the idea might sound good on paper, everyone will probably ask you why your dwarfs live in Lustria.

However, they could have ventured there many a year ago seeking new lands and (insert US history here)? ;P

Baggronor:

The Incan theme does at least mean you will have plenty of parts from the Lizards range to use.

I did see one army at the GT last year that had used Daemonettes and Lizardmen parts to make an Amazons army. That was awesome.

Torped:

I started work on a test model, it at the bottom of my last post in my plog:

klemanius:

When the lustrian campaign came out I had the same idea, land so full of gold the locals think it worthless and tak it on the weapons? sounds like the kind of place the dwarfs would like to hang out…

Borador:

Incan dwarfs? Dwarfs in can?

On topic now, sounds like a cool idea too me, the test model looks promising!

Thorne:

Now thats a fun alternative to hobgoblins no ? Hmmmmmm interesting.

Not to mention a bit of *cough* reverse *cough* printing on this guy here

will get you a suitably sinister mask on your base models go for it.
