Ate a K’Daii destroyer on my Turn 2 of a tournament game and then got wiped out by the rest of the army.
Piqued my interest a bit although I had previously seen the PDF but never actually went up against or played them.
Quite interesting though! And with the new Plastic kit for The Hobbit, offering mighty new models - I might be making myself an army to deal some of the fiery pain myself.
I’m Bad Gram Northern, which is an anagram for Morgan Bernhardt, Some of you might know me as Commander Bernhardt from the Empire-online forum or Boring Tom’s Mordheim Forum. I also have a Lead adventure account but i’m seldom active there. I always had a love for the Chaos Dwarfs, I even own a few big hat’s, but never got around to collecting them. But that’s about to change now that I purchased Throne of Tamurkhan. In the new year I plan to start building me my own Chaos Dwarf Legion needless to say, i’m a big hat lover:hat off
a little about myself: I started “the hobby” eleven years ago with a chaos army, back then they were still called hordes of chaos and Beastmen, Warriors and Daemons could be used in the same army. After the Warriors of Chaos book came out I lost my interest in the Chaos men and started focusing more on my ever expanding Empire army and I must say I love the human aspect in the Warhammer universe. Somewhere along the way I fell for the very narrative and imaginative aspect of Mordheim for which I have several warbands. Now I’m back to my Chaotic roots but this time it’s all for the Chaos Dwarfs
I’ve recently got back into WH after an 8 year break. Yes 8 years
I have the humble beginnings of what I am hoping will be, eventually an extremely large CD army
I’m hoping to use a lot of the original models… my wallet hates me right now.
I’m looking to convert warriors with great weapons, as well as warriors with hand weapon/shield by using Chaos Warrior helms with green stuffed beards - I will post pictures eventually once I start to put it all together!
I love the Big hats in all honesty, they were the main attraction!
I’m hoping to build a centaur and artillery heavy army.
Currently to my collection I have…
x1 hobgoblin wolf rider (original model) I’m wanting a unit of 5 of these…
x1 chaos dwarf hero (castellan) - original model
x 1 death rocket (original)
x1 earthshaker cannon (original)
x7 bull centaurs inc command (original) - just finished stripping these back to metal so i can paint them properly - i buy all my models off ebay and strip them if needed!
I’m Alexandre aka Wodan, 22 old and living in France. I know irl Zhatan87 from this forum, we played often together and i assemble most of his FW chaos dwarf ^^
I use to play Skaven and Tomb kings and further less Chaos daemons. I just start CD because i really like the FW CD minis’ range!
I am Vile from Germany. I have been into the hobby for about 12 years now. I would say i am an “advanced” Tabletop and Boardgame player. In Warhammer Fantasy i have a big Skaven, Dark Elves, Beastmen and Demons army. And since a few Months some very nice Chaos Dwarfs, again…
I say again because 5 years ago i already had a Chaos Dwarf army but unfortunately i sold them… At this time they were forbidden on most of the tournaments and i was to greedy to get the money…
Well, since the FW campaign book came up with a new CD army list and the CD took place in most of the common restriction-systems i nearly was forced to get some models.
I am a competitive player and try to play on tournaments, if its possible. I am not really that good in modelling and painting… so you wont see much threads from me in that way. But you can expect some army lists, tournament or battle reports and tactical articles indeed.
I play warhammer 40k also, but not active because the last good edition imho, was the 3rd…
However i have a large Eldar and Dark Eldar army there. And of course, my Demons can be used in 40k as well.
Besides WHFB and 40k i have some Nurgle, Skaven and Chaos Dwarf Ships with all rules and expansions for Man-O-War but never played yet. I own a bunch of Battletech Mechs, an old rulebook and the hexfield maps. I played it a lot some years ago, a nice game.
Well, i am also familiar with p&p role playing…
And last but not least… i love to play boardgames like Runewars, Talisman, Descent, Chaos in the Old World etc…
Sorry for my bad punctuation, i still have problems to shut down the “german system” in other languages.
:hat off Want to welcome; cd007, Yodrin, Wodan, and ViLe to the CDO forum for the New Year. Make yourself comfortable and enjoy the site. Their are great people here and are willing to help.
I finally gave in and signed up :). Cheers to Grimstonefire for posting on Dakka and getting me interested in Chaos Dwarfs by watching his amazing work!
