[Archive] Introductions: New members post here!

Grimstonefire:

Welcome to all our new members.

It is a curious time for new collectors isn’t it. More rumours than we’ve had in a long while, but still nothing confirmed publically. A tough call deciding what to do and when.

There are options for doing chaos dwarfs pretty much unconverted, and although I can’t think of any good links immediately take a look around the hobby areas as there are a few people that have done this.

wallacer:

Yes, an interesting time to be starting CD…

BilboBaggins:

There was never a bad time to start a Chaos Dwarf Army.

Lord Sandwich:

I apologize, I know I started a thread in the OT section, but I figured it’d be best if I came here, just for the record.

I’m Lord Sandwich, I’m fifteen years old, I’ve been playing WH Fantasy for about 2 years now, longer at 40K, and the sheer amount of potential for modeling Chaos Dwarfs is what brought me over to their side.

BilboBaggins:

Welcome Lord Sandwich to the Dark Side of the Dwarfs.

black mantis:

I am new to chaos dwarfs. My wife and I play WE, DE, chaos mortals, Daemons and my our 5 and 7 y/o have dwarf and khemri respectively. They do not play but the 7 y/o plays mordheim and rarely WFB with much help.

Anyways, we are recently getting into mordheim with some friends. I love the rules and also the terrain modelling aspect since i am a former model train geek. Anyways, unless i comandeer my 5 year old’s dwarf army and convert them all (unlikely), i will probably only play Mordheim with CDs.

I read recently that GW was to release CDs within a couple of years but it did sound like an unsubstantiated rumor so i will not hold my breath for that one. I love converting but I just am not too excited about converting an entire army when many of our figs sstill remain unpainted.

Anyways, nice to meet you all and ill kill a stunty for you!

We're currently discussing that very topic here (as you may have discovered already): https://discourse.chaos-dwarfs.com/t/11273

Welcome to the forum.

Sojourn:

wow black mantis… you started them early! good stuff

thanks for posting both in OT and here Lord Sandwich, may as well make sure you get your name out there and involved.

welcome guys! have fun!

Dreadlocke:

The name is Dreadlocke and I stomp on fools. I finally got my lizard army to the point where I can do no more and love it, so it’s time to put it on the “To paint shelf”. In the mean time, it’s time to pick up a new army and the only other army to appeal to me is Chaos Dwarfs. They announced the new book or something over gamesday, BUT I intend to build a list to play with while I paint. And that’s my story. And there might be a couple lies in it

Kera foehunter:

ha ha just a couple ?? well anyway welcome to the site

glade you decided to join us

CD Chronicler:

Hi all! I was beginning to wonder why the Hand of Hashut was like a ghost town. Well, what can I say about myself. I have been a member of The Hand of Hashut since 2005.

I have not only a 3000 and a bit point Chaos Dwarf army, but I also have a large Vampire Counts army.

A large Space Marine army with Witch Hunter allies.

A respectably sized Warriors of Chaos army that I started right after the Storm of Chaos.

Plus I have multiple units from random Fantasy armies that I bought because I liked them. I use them occasionally to field a Dogs of War army.

I’ve been playing games workshop for around 8 years, and CDs for a little over half of that. I just love those Big Hats. Well, enough with the ranting about myself. See you all around!

:hat off (I just love this smiley!)

Kera foehunter:

well welcome to the site cd cronicler there no ghost here

but i do enjoy sprites in bottles

tvandyke:

I just joined the site. I’ve browsed it off and on for a few years. If any of you play the GT circuit, you may know me. I’ve played CD’s since about 1995, not long after they came out in White Dwarf. I probably have about 4000 points of the original models. At one point I sold the army to a friend, then bought it back and doubled it’s size. Anyway, hello everyone.

BilboBaggins:

Welcome tvandyke.

This message was automatically appended because it was too short.

wallacer:

Welcome tvandyke and others.

Tutankhankh:

Hey, all.

I don’t play CD, though I’m considering starting them. Undecided - if I win those models on eBay I might begin, if not then maybe not.

I currently play Tomb Kings, with a Dwarf and a Dark Elf army in the works. Yes, I like having many projects at once. It gives me the chance to do a lot of different thing.

I’m also a member of Librarium Online under the same name.

I came here via Word of Hashut - props on that, btw. The fact that this forum is so good despite the army being so marginal is also impressive.

Did you see it from a topic I had at Librarium? :)

Thanks for the complement! We try our best to make things very accessible to newcomers. :)

Indeed. I commented on it, as well. My compliments still stand - good enough for print.

Kera foehunter:

Guardian_A:

I’ve been playing Warhammer for about a year now, but I’m new to Chaos Dwarfs. After taking the job as the Chaos Dwarf moderator on another site, (Link in my sig for anyone who is interested.) I joined this Chaos Dwarf site as a way to learn more about this great little army!
