m3lvin:
Hello everyone!
I belive this is the best place to post my first reply, so here im off!
on the internet people now me by the name m3lvin, IRL no one knows me at all
currently Im 20 year old, lives in Sweden, and had Warhammer as a hobby for over 10 years (shit, thats half my life!)
All those years has resulted in quite a few armies, the last one being a Warriors of Chaos force I’ve collected for almost 3 years.
The full painted army bulks up to 4000 pts+, and I thought It was time to give It a rest.
I have about 2-3 years experience of greenstuff, and really love to convert my models. It gives you so much more in return as a hobbyist when you’re playing with models you’ve modyfied yourself.
Every models becomes unique and personal, and your bond to the army grow so much stronger.
Therefore I felt starting with Chaos Dwarfs was a natural choice for me, now I have the chance to build an army that’s all converted and personalized after me.
I have always been driven to the dark side when it comes to armies, and I really enjoy playing with chaos dwarfs, because you immidietly become an “outsider”.
Even though all CD players are warhammers somewhat outsiders, I think we have clearly the best community. The lack of models and rules has only made us more creative and enthusiastic, and therefore I think it would be pretty sad If GW released new rules and models.
I like being an outsider
Anyhow, I’ve been thinking of starting a CD army for about 2 years now, and I’ve been sneaking around at this site for about the same time.
2 months ago I finally started with my army, so Its about damn time I register!
I will start an armyblog soon aswell, so keep your eyes open!
until then,…
HASHUT!

It’s funny how fast things spread on the web

TheGobbo:
Hi my name is thegobbo,
ive been interested in warhammer for many years but due to a lack of people to play against ive never actually built an army, just bought random models and painted/converted them.
Fortunetely my brother has recently become interested in playing VC so ive decided to start my first army.
A distant cousin of mine recently gifted me with a huge bitz box that contains many dwarven parts. However i find pure dwarf tactics too one dimensional. When i found out that chaos dwarfs were still legal it was a godsend because i love the idea of having to convert every single model in the army making it much more personal then just using standard mini’s.
Hoping to start my evil dwarven throng soon,
TheGobbo
BilboBaggins:
Welcome TheGobbo.
Do you have a copy of the current GW rules for the Chaos Dwarfs? If you need them you can send me a PM with your email and I can send them to you.
TheGobbo:
that would be great, thanks bilbo baggins.
I tried looking for it online but have been unable to find the old ravening hordes pdf.
my email is d.laytner@hotmail.com.
thanks again for the help

Crube:
Well, I’m finally here…
You may know me from such forums as Warseer…
I’ve always had a penchant for the big hatted fellows ever since I helped a fellow GW staffer paint 2000 points of them in a week many moons ago.
I’ve been playing WFB for about 20 years now, and worked for the big Gee Dub for about 5 years…
I;m realy loking forward to more CD discussion and looking through the galleries
See you all on the inside
Grimstonefire:
Hi Crube. I saw your name as having replied and remember it from Warseer.
Do you still work for GW? 20 years playing WHFB is a very long time, older than some of the members here!
Seeing as you’ve been around the game forever I will be interested to hear your thoughts as a veteran on everything.
Crube:
hehehe it’s been a
Kera foehunter:

Welcome to the site, Crube. If you still have any contacts feel free to tap them for some info about CD
The Brain:
Hello I am The Brain. I have been playing GW games for about 14 years. I have a giant Dwarf army that is my favorite. It is some where around 20,000 points. I also play Empire, Dogs of War and Night Goblins. I play 40k as well. I even have a squat army, did I mention that I was a big dwarf fan. Well about 5 months ago a buddy of mine was cleaning out an old comic shop he found of all its GW stuff and I told him to get me everything he found that was dwarfs. He included some Chaos Dwarfs in that purchase. It was only about 10 old plastic tall hats. Once I saw them I was hooked and started reading everthing I could find on them. I then started poing around on ebay and bugging some friends of mine that have been playing for awhile and before I knew it (with a raised eyebrow from my wife) I had spent my gaming limit until Chistmas. The bright side is that I now have about 6000 points of old tall hats, I just have to paint them. I have played a few games and the army is so much fun. The list is awsome because it is so different from the dwarf army, but it is still dwarfs. I look forward to talking to you all.
GRNDL:
Giant dwarf fan? Big dwarfs? Aren’t those just humans?
GRNDL:
@Crube
Firewarrior, huh? The video game? Are you able to talk about the work you did on it? I’d imagine that if you were at GW, then it was just in regards to the licencing aspects of the game and perhaps keeping Kuju in line with the fluff?
Crube:
That’s about it GRNDL. If you look in the back of the instruction booklet, under Project Coordinator - that’s me
I basically made sure their weren’t too many glaring fluff mistakes - an example that didn’t make it to the final game… A land Raider with troop markings on it…
I was also part of the big internal Boltgun debate…
GRNDL:
Hehhheeh, I hear ya. Not many companies in the vidgame industry are really dedicated to story content/background, so I’m not surprised. FireWarrior was a bit of a disappointment to me, unfortunately. I played it at E3 one year and got all excited, then when I finally got the game, it lasted only 30 mins on my HD before being uninstalled. It was rather lackluster.
It didn’t have enough of its own identity - trying too hard to be HALO, IMO.
Oh well, welcome aboard. Perhaps here you’ll forget your woes.
