[Archive] ISO Chaos Dwarf Mine Reference Material

Nicodemus:

Many of you will recall Marcus Leitdorf’s truly epic undertaking of the Chaos Dwarf Mining Complex, which began almost 11 years ago now, and has been shared on several other forums, as well as right here on CDO.

I’m slowly working on my own version of the same design, but due to the age of the original thread over on Warhammer Empire none of Teb’s drawings are showing up anymore, and they don’t seem to be mirrored on any of the other sites or forums. Teb doesn’t seem to have been on Warhammer Empire since mid-2009, so I’m worried some of his source material for the project may be gone. I’ve also checked The Way Back Machine but the thread was never archived.

Marcus had saved one of Teb’s drawings, which can still be found (see below), but that’s it, sadly.

So, I’m appealing to the CD community here to ask if anyone may have made a backup of the images from the project or may have saved any of those original drawings Teb had made?

If you’ve got any please post them here, thanks!!

~N

Thanks Enjoysrandom!!

Malorndk:

I had his banners saved for the longest time so that I could remaster them in photoshop. I think I have deleted them since.

This is truly a sad situation. Tebs drawings was like the first serious attempt to imagine the Dawi Zharr society in the grim/dark fantasy age.

Admiral:

Images don’t show up in this thread today. The bull centaur gate did show up yesterday for me.

Perhaps we should try and get into contact with Teb? Copy-paste thread on all Warhammer-relevant forums asking for people who know him and can put us into contact with him?

This underscores the importance of members cloud-saving, so to speak: Copying the best images (and texts) to their own computers, storing it on E-mails to themselves, sharing themselves on other sites etc. Sooner or later something might strike the relevant sites. Pictures might be picked down, links might die. But quality must endure. I already have a backup folder for some good things, but might have to expand it considerably.

I have e-mailed Teb through the e-mail address on via my account on the the Warhammer Empire forum. Given that his account was last used ~8 years ago who knows if that linked e-mail address is even valid anymore.  If I get a reply from him I will certainly post the response here.

Update
Thanks for jogging my memory Malorndk!  After searching my HD I had saved a banner from Teb back in 2012. Not sure if there are any more than this, but it's what I have!

Abecedar:

I have copies of 5 sketches, here they are.

That terrain piece was one of the coolest things ever, too bad it didn’t get finished… :frowning:
