sorry this is an army builder 2.2 file, all fan made files usually come out same day as new books

JLmaster1990:

Oh well. Please keep me posted if anybody makes an updated army builder file. Thanks!

Gar Shadowfame:

There is no need for most of questions in “faq”, start reading with comprehension.

About deamoneater combat:

When a Daemoneater charges into combat it inflicts D6+2 impact

hits. On turns where the Daemoneater is in combat, but did not

charge, it causes D3+2 impact hits in initiative order. Daemoneaters

may never cause impact hits to units it is fighting to its own rear.
A model has Magical Attacks if there is “Magical Attacks” rule in special rules section, or it is affected by some special rules that grant it Magical Attacks (Daemon, Ethereal, Forest Spirit etc)

Where does anyone sees “Magical Attacks” in Eruption gun rules?
The Kollossus Daemon Tower is crewed by 10 Chaos Dwarf

Annihilators. In the Shooting phase, the crew counts as having a 360

arc and may fire their blunderbusses as normal. Note that once there

are fewer than 5 crew, the Annihilators may no longer fire.
It’s clearly stated that it has 360 degree arc of fire.
However, the terms Obsidian Guard and Granite Guard were both my creation.
Not to be rude or anything, but if something is published on the internet without clause of retaining rights to intelectual property, then its kool you made the term but it means kinda… nothing.

Besides “Obsidian Guard” is not a term you can create since it appeared in battle game “Chronopia” and the unit of elves were called like this.

Hashut’s Blessing:

Gar Shadowfame: Actually, you don’t need written proof to own intellectual copyright, it simply makes it easier to prove it is yours. Secondly, it’s more a case of I was saying it’s cool that they’re using those terms, I;d just prefer some recognition if they did take them from the fluff that I had written, since that’s only fair.

As to your other points, it does seem quite clear when read more than once (some people may have skimmed it before).

cornixt:

There are a few names and pieces that I thought I had invented that turned up in that list too, not that I care since it is nice to see my ideas taking off (although it is a bit annoying since it means I have to reinvent the terms in my army lists to stop people getting confused).

Hashut’s Blessing:

cornixt: it sure is cool to have them included  As you say, it is a little annoying: you have to create new terms and I run the risk of people thinking I’m the one that’s taken the terms for the fluff, lol

However, it was more that he is the head of the Immortals that I was bothered about since I did come up with that myself.

mattbird:

Cornixt/ Hashut’s Blessing:

sorry if you feel at all slighted by the lack of a mention.

I am not certain where you had invented the terms Kevin used in the book? If it was in a piece published by GW, then yes, Kevin almost certainly took it from that, and you would deserve credit for it. Just as all the previous authors who had invented all the different parts of GW lore Kevin referenced would deserve credit.

None of the past GW authors were credited in the book, though. That being the case, I do not think it is unseemly that you did not, either. In hindsight, we should have credited all the previous authors of CD and WFB fluff, but it’s too late now.

If you had coined the terms in non-GW published works, I would be almost positive he never read them, and any semblance is coincidental.

Well internet is a grey area when it comes to law, but "what is not prohibited is allowed". There are documents on the web that have a clasue that states that given document is only avaiable for viewing (even though u can physicaly download it) and author retains all rights. Unless you do so, you effectivey forfeit any further claims.
As to the actual terms used, as i mentioned there is a unit called "Obsidian Guard" in different game, published by Target Games.

And anyway, if u read licensing in GW UK site, you will notice that any material made based on GW intelectual property is actualy theirs. So by law GW could take the book print it and sell it without paying anything to any of the authors, but thats english law, and thats what GW did with the license.

But thats just theory, in practice there are companies (Gamezone) that effectively steal GW conceptions of miniatures, and made their own in the theme, and GW can do very little about it.

BTW i am in the credits as part of playtest team, and i am very proud of lil contribution i have made.
More over i can say that the book received very warm welcome in Poland in social circles that are oversensitive about rules balance, (general rules-lawyer syndrom in whole bloody population).

Uzkul Werit:

Another question!

Would an Earthshaker effect random movement of models like Chaos Spawn or Squigs?

Gar Shadowfame:

Uzkul Werit
That depends on how the move of given model is specified. If in statistics entry under M you can see 2D6, then shaker would split it in 2. If u have * , and entry reads, "move model X number of inches equal to the result of the roll" then no, shaker will not affect it.

Balseraph:

I have another one question

On the last page this AB is list of army books… Dragons etc etc…

And question:

This Army books already, somewhere exist? or will they be written in the future?

kerbak:

one question, how is suppose to looks like the “Warg” mount option for hobglobins heroes?

Gar Shadowfame:

kerbak
Warg is name from Tolkien's middlearth, its just bigger, more mean wolf, but wolf nevertheless.

cornixt:

Balseraph
They don't currently exist, but may do in the future (no actual plans).

How well received was the CD list at the tournaments so far?

Border Reiver:

The list was received favourably here in Ottawa (not at tournaments, but then, I haven’t been to any tournaments lately and I think I’m one of two players here in the nation’s capital).

Da Crusha:

I have a question for the faq or errata rather, do deamon eyes for hobgoblins cost +1 point per model? I assume that all of the extra equipment costs are per model also? I feel like this should be put into an errata since GW did this change for vampire counts adding “Spears…1pt per model” into their errata.

also, I just wanted to add that the Indy GT book was recently rejected from Da Grand Waaagh Indy GT in california :|. the main judge said that he rejected it because it isn’t official and if he was playing against it he would have a problem with it.

+1 point per model is a most intuitive way one can understand that, if someone tries to pay just "+1" point, beat him up.

D u know what's his main tourney army?

hashuts lil helper:

I’m taking it to the North East (US) warhammer club championships in two weeks. I assume it will be received well, No one had a problem with it at the xroads in september. Or at least more of a problem than with the ravening hoards list

Hashut’s Blessing:

mattbird, I don’t feel hard done by just wish I were mentioned because it’d be awesome, lol

Gar Shadowflame: Obsidian Guard is a term being used in the same application, whereas in Target Games’ publication, it was somewhat different (I presume. If not, GW stole the idea, I just used a name I created, even if it had been used before, against my knowledge). Either way, GW would have rights to it without my permission, but others wouldn’t. (Fortunately, if they did read my work and take the idea, they certainly do have my permission. I just think it’d be cool to be known as the creator of some of the content. It’s not jealousy, just wish for recognition, that I’m no worse of for not having  )

I would like to add, once again, that I really like the list. Just wish i didn;t have to print it myself
