Some more news from the Australian Tourney Scene. Vigilance (our local 3000pt tourney) is allowing the GT list next February. Now I have some added motivation to finish my army. I have still yet to decide whether to stick to RH or the GT list yet.
Da Crusha:
D u know what's his main tourney army?well, he was the ringer one day and his army was lizardmen

Downfall, a 2000pts event in South Wales will be using this list!
Not that I’m part of the club running it or anything!

Do it man. We need more players.
Another Chaos Dwarf would be just dandy.
Slacker:
The list’s pretty much as accepted as anything GW’s published in the entire American Northeast. Hashut’s little helper and I took them to the Crossroads this year and did respectable (Damn you, you won the Chaos Dwarf Challenge! :p) and they’re pretty much legal everywhere you go now. The book’s gained enough traction at this point that at a shop tourney this weekend, we had some guys come out from New York City who played me and didn’t need much more than a few pointers on what various bits did, no more than you’d expect from someone who, say, wasn’t familiar with how von Horstmann’s Speculum in the Empire book works.
It’s here to stay in the Northeast, unless something drastic happens, like GW suddenly decides to publish a new army book.

does the daemonsmith enigineer contribute anything to dispel dice?
basically i am wondering because if you do not take a wizard for a lord, then aren’t you screwed out of magic defense???
edit: nevermind, didn’t see the part about dispel dice…
but i have a question about how they will cast the bound spell if they don’t generate power dice?
or do bound spells work differently without your usual power dice pool? (forgive my ignorance)
cornixt:
Bound spells are automatically cast at their power level (and can be dispelled as normal), without using up any additional power dice. Anyone can use them.

a couple of things I noticed for the faq/errata:
the deathrocket crew are described as having a Movement of 3 in the bestiary section and a movement of 4 in the points section.
the great bull centaur(Lord level) does not have the option of having armor and a shield but the great horn bull centaur (Hero Level) does have the option of armor and shield.

However, the terms Obsidian Guard and Granite Guard were both my creation.-----------Hi, just wanted to chime in here.
Hashut’s Blessing:
KevinC: You just hit the nail on the head
I created the term for the Nemesis Crown campaign. I was the one writing the CD fluff for Talabheim where Rykarth was stationed, lol
As you’ve said, Obsidian Guard isn’t a difficult one to come up with mind
In fact, neither is Granite Guard, but that one I did coin for you

I do apologize in advance for my naivete, but it has been years since I played Warhammer Fantasy and since I found this site I have been VERY interested in getting back into playing Chaos Dwarfs. I have a decent amount of ‘Marauder’ era figures (3rd ed. figures?) and really want to get back into playing them.
I’ve been reading and using the Indy GT as my source for the Chaos Dwarf army. I’d like to also investigate using the Ravening Hordes army list, but can’t find it anywhere online.
My question is this: In the Indy GT rules the Eruption Guns are supposed to roll on the Daemonic Engine misfire chart if a misfire is rolled. Is that chart the same as the Bound Daemon chart used by the Chaos Hellcannon? I can’t find any other Daemon Engine misfire chart in any of the rules.
Also, am I correct in interpreting the rules for the Eruption Gun that it is not necessary to roll the hit/direction artillery dice? I only need to roll the misfire/distance dice? Thanks for the info and for your patience with a ‘newbie’.

Hi, and welcome to the boards!
? the ravening hordes list was taken off the GW site, so that’s why you’ve had trouble finding it. You can likely find a pirated version of it somewhere online, just do a search.
? There is a deamonic Engine misfire chart in the Indy GT Dwarfs of Chaos book that you should use for the Eruption Gun. It’s in the bestiary part of the book, on a black page right next to the daemonsmith’s entry.
? you would just roll the misfire distance dice, correct.

Hi, and welcome to the boards!WOW, now I feel a little silly. You right. The misfire chart is EXACTLY where you said it would be.

Hi,
I can’t seem to find the amount of basic dispel dice generated. Is it two as normal or four for dwarfs ?
Cheers
