Balancing Time is a no-brainer. I mean that if/when you try to do it and you’ll lose your mind.

Paid-Work, Home-Work, Family, Social Life and then Hobby is the order of things.

I have it set up so that almost everything I need is right next to my chair in the lounge room so that when

I do get time to do something I’m also still technically spending time with my wife.

I had to spend a lot of time making a suitable and usable painting cupboard so that when I’m

finished it all gets put away and is “Neat” but that was worth it.

Hello, I am back with another update on this slowly progressing update. After many gruelling hour of school work (high school don’t judge me) I found some time to get back on top of this. I painted and based about a dozen models and got around to painting 2 of the earth shaker cannons. Also I wanted to try making scalemail on a couple of cheap ogres I got of ebay.

Here are the models that are painted and based so far

I took some of the advise you guys left about sculpting. Now I know it’s not perfect but it is a hell of a lot better than my previous works.

hopefully I can use the ogres as unit filler or a mercenary unit on its own but I really need to figure out a way to make them slave ogres for the war machines and have them look the part.

Abecedar:

Coming along very nicely

Admiral:

Nice progress! Your sculpting is shaping up well already. The Ogre’s armour will look good when painted, and the army colours are quite appealing. Next time, you might want to up the scalemail game, not necessarily by making hexagonal scales (matter of taste/style, and they’re time consuming), but by flattening each scale as you go, avoiding bulges and reaching an even better result. Good luck!

Yep! I totally agree! I can see that you're getting better and better with the green stuff, very nice results. And like Admiral said, the colors are cool too.
Are you going to paint the Ogre in the same color scheme as your Chaos Dwarfs? That would be a nice tie-in for them to your army :cheers

Hill_Billy_Bub:

Thank you guys :cheers After read the feed back I got excited and painted the ogre.

Tell me what you think.

On the other hand I forgot to post the pictures of the Earthshaker cannons that I mentioned I finished so here they are.

WOOOOOOOOOOO First update of 2016!!!

Ok lets get back to it. In recent months I slightly expanded my collection with some more plasic Big Hat models and some odds and ends that I can not recall at this moment.

But I am glad to say I just got started on a big project for me since I am a novice to sculpting. I was thinking “why doesn’t Hashut have its own demon prince” so I picked up a giant kit and used a spare lammasu head I had and got to work.

Here is the results so far:

Any advice on what to do next is welcome because I seem to have had a little bloc in my creative process so pitch me some ideas on this.

also on another note I recently got my hands on a rather large orc and goblin army so I may start a blog about the process on that too, so keep an eye out for that if interested.

Abecedar:

Not sure of the ogres skin tone. But no suggestions about that from me.

For the axe I’m guessing you’ll want the same design on either side, I’d suggest playing with plasti-card, even going so far as to have a couple of layers in the design to add detail and depth.

The earthshakers and crew look pretty good

Yep, I agree...some plastic card details (chaos arrows are always good) would be nice for the ax. And perhaps some sort of skull design for the shoulder pauldron?
It's definitely going to be an interesting model when you're all done :)

Fuggit Khan
I'll try to do both, but as it looks I'll have to remove some of the "fire" from the axe.

Abecedar:

Thats the beauty of greenstuff, it can grow back really easy.

Hill_Billy_Bub:

Well I took the advise and redisgned the axe. Hope you guys like it
