Xander:
I am fairly sure you cannot.
iTunes is awful. Sorry I can’t offer more help!
Joshmohr:
Alright- thanks Xander!
Willmark:
Despite what Xander says iTunes is not aweful it simply doesn’t work the way he wants it too. Big difference. For what most people do it works quite well. On my Macs it runs great, I’ve noticed it runs differently on my one PC. He and I have discussed this before.
Josh get your library unto a external drive then go from there.
Also are you doing this on a PC or Mac?
Joshmohr:
PC. My laptop just needs to be wiped, and i have ALOT of music that i would like to save, along with all my Iphone apps.
Good idea about the External drive, ill try that out- thanks!
two_heads_talking:
aren’t there also data libraries or other online sources where you can ‘dock’ your tunes? basically an external drive on the internet…
Joshmohr:
Im not sure- ill check later.
GRNDL:
External drives are very cheap right now. In Canada, you can get a 1 Tb drive for about $150 bucks. Even flash cards can help if you don’t have much. Last time I checked, a 16 Gb SD Card costs $70 if you need portability. I have about 8000 songs sitting on a wirelessly networked external drive and it only weighs in at about 40 Gb - small beans for today’s HD prices and capacity.
Joshmohr:
Wow- that cheap?

The best bet is to backup the whole folder as it’s an iPhone. Apps will need to be backed up too.
