The lava golem (with appropriate head) definitely fills in the humongous base size better and looks more ‘molten’ though the Slaughterbrute or (converted Stonehorn) has a ‘truer’ four-legged pose.
If you pin and use grey or green stuff, you could create running and dripping lava from soft spots. Metal binding plates riveted into the K’daai, mayhaps with runes of binding, could be thrown in. Chains could hang from the chin, or fake curly beards could be sculpted if you like that look.
For bound daemon lava golems, I think it might look particularly good if it’s visually blinded by having a helmet or metal plate covering the eyes completely. Fires could rise from some cracks as well. Shackles wouldn’t look our of place.
In the end it’s down to which you like best. You could let the poses decide, if your and others ideas are good enough for both variants.

I ve had same problem few weeks ago. First major question is 2 or 4 legs stance. I went 4 legs route becouse I had beast-like idea in my mind, so my decision was stonehorn or slaughterbrute. Slaughterbrute scaly skin and spikes would make some problems during converting. You would have to remove a lot of plastic to make magma surface or it would be out of proportions. Alternatvly you can just paint it properly like on the picture you have pasted. Plus stonehorne head is much better in my opinion. You can cheack my conversion here:
If someone had described this to me I’d of never believed the slaughterbrute fits the bill so well once given that molten paint job. Between those two, thats the one I prefer.
I’m not familiar enough with the Slaughterbrute to say how much of a conversion that is but that is a really nice K’daii Destroyer! One of my favorite K’daii conversions actually! Not sure how it will look on a proper-sized base but the model is very well done!
I like K’daii that’s walking on four legs or crawling and bull like. That’s how I picture the Destroyer. Never thought of it as a biped - neither classic demon nor golem.
It would go with the slaughter brute.
You could give the golem a ghorgon og stonehorn head. That would be a nice conversino. Right now, his head is to small. But otherwise it’s a nice mini.

Now I’m slightly curious to see what the Slaughterbrute would look like with the Stonehorn head, with a few other conversions to make it all come together!
