Hey, I was just thinking; since the Chaos Dwarfs are known for trading things for slaves (Armour, weapons, channons, mechanical boars…) should perhapes the Lesser Demonic Engine have the Dogs of War rule?

Thommy H:
What Lesser Daemonic Engine? My Lesser Daemonic Engine?
Awbbie:
Yeah, the one in Woh issue 9.
Thommy H:
Oh right, yeah. Well, it makes sense, but I don’t think Dogs of War are much in vogue with the current version of Warhammer.
nitroglysarine:
Not sure the trade would go so well for the person who ends up with it!
cornixt:
As an aside: Thommy, I came up with rules for lesser and greater daemonic war machines several years ago (that is what they were called and they were similar in upgrades but they were nowhere near as well developed as yours). Were you consciously influenced by it?
Thommy H:
I’m not aware of ever having read your rules, Cornixt, but I may well have seen them in the mists of time and forgotten about it. The truth is I have no idea now where I got the idea for the customisable Engines from! It’s been part of my army list for so long that it just feels like it was etched on stone tablets by Moses or something…
cornixt:
It’s always hard to know. The CD community pops ideas around a lot more than other groups simply because we don’t have an army book, and I can never be sure if I’ve been influenced or have come up with similar ideas independently.
Thanks. Now I’m going to see if I can find those old rules I wrote, they are probably on Hand of Hashut.
