1) All models shown must be complete and fully painted (as in the other galleries)
Nicodemus
The Points of Army medals come in six flavours: Blackshard, Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze. To obtain each one, you must have the requisite number of points made, painted and posted. It is generally easiest to collate a thread with this and include an army list, which must be legal using the most up to date rules for Chaos Dwarfs (some models may be used as unit fillers or proxy as others: e.g. Hellcannon counts as an Earthshaker). This makes it easier for staff to check, but they need to be notified and sent a link of where to find the army. Bronze is for 1,000 points, Silver is for 2,000 points, Gold is for 4,000 points, Platinum is for 6,000 points, Diamond is for 8,000 points and Blackshard is reserved for the most epic of Chaos Dwarf armies at 10,000 points!
Medal Criteria
Now you have it! We don't have anything higher than that.
cornixt
No! Not good enough, I don't want to spill bile or anything like that. But that medal is for a very few people (and I'm not saying Kera shouldn't have it, should just prove it right) - and everything is wrong here!
The miniatures posted in the showcase are not all painted, at lot of plastic there.
It's not a chos dwarf army! It's a couple of dwarf armies and ogre armies (and off impressive size I must add!), you've pointed it out on numerous occations Kera.
If you want this medal you:
Take your time and organize! Show off well ranked regiments of completed, even looking painted miniatures.
Make a legal 10.000p armylist with LoA. (I will gladly make the most expensive list we can - just need a group shot of anything CD).
Use your CD models. Don't make a claim based on other army projects.
Check out Zanko, MalornDK and Vantraxx the Thrice Cursed blogs/showcase. You see how to obtain this medal in an orderly fashion. They have clear photos of units and overall army - easy to make an armylist and check it!
I hold all our medals in very high regard. A 10k medal is supposed to take extra work. If we just hand them out, they loose value. Minimizing the effort done by those before.
And now that my medal cup is full. I would have let it go, but that gold photo medal is up for debate too:
By my very fair and generous count of your gallery contributions you have 8 'clicks' towards a medal in units (mostly mercenaries), individually counted heroes and a ship.
Other than that:
Hobgoblins aren't finished or enough for a unit.
Destroyer aint painted or based.
Female slayer pirates are posted twice.
Warriors are only 5, not a unit.
Ironsworn are 4, not a unit.
One bullcentaur, taur'ruk posted twice.
Fireborn is 1, not a unit.
Black orcs are 9, not a unit.
As I pointed out in a PM earlier.
So the photo gallery criteria is not fulfilled either and the gold should be changed to bronze. So please Kera, out of respect for all the those recieving gold and blackshard before and after you - decline these medals! Or prove me wrong and take some proper unit photos. Same point about 'medals of high regard' as above.
I feel very strongly about this issue, medals are awarded where they a due. And again: I will gladly help make a proper CD list with your CD projects, we'll even through an ogre in as a unitfiller or perhaps field some as Fireborn.
Anyone joining the debate - please keep a proper tone.

Bloodbeard
I'm with Bloodbeard here. This is weird and appears to contradict with the site rules for how to obtain a model. Please reconsider this.
Hi there. If there is an unintentional mistake this will be no big problem to correct it I suppose ;).
Just looked at the “Gallery Member army shots”. I just didn`t find a restriction to chaos dwarf armies but probably it is meant for chaos dwarfs only. Perhaps that should be mentioned explicitly? The other conditions are clearly mentioned.

Army Medal
Other kind of armies hould go into the "Off-Topic Showcase" section.
I would be very careful not to devalue the medals and keep them strict.
In my honest opinion there should never be a doubt or debate possible, medals are a very important engine of the community and because of this I must protest to your decision here Cornixt, the criteria are not met.
I’ve been pretty swamped, so I didn’t check as closely as I would normally. Kera, if you can fix this in the next week then you won’t lose your medals, otherwise I will have to withdraw them.

Well said, I think this sums up exactly how I felt as well.

And I would like to take this opportunity to Thank You Cornixt. Not just because you made the right decision to reevaluate the award of the 2 medals and uphold the criteria for earning the Holy Grail of CDO medals, but because I truly respect and appreciate all the work you (and other Admins) do for all of us here at CDO. No doubt you have been swamped, and no doubt all the work you do 'behind the scenes' that the rest of us never see is done by you as a labor of love to this community and the hobby in general. I respect that :cheers
Even back in my lurking days here on CDO, prior to me joining up, I was impressed by the consistent fairness, good attitudes and civility of the Admins here.
So again, I thank you good Sir for your hard work and for keeping all of us true to the criteria that honors fellow members for their honest efforts and contributions.
Thank you Admins and Moderators for making this the best WFB forum! :cheers
