[Archive] Linus the Cat

Admiral:

Depicting an approximation of an old jolly cat my grandparents once had (who occupied nearly the full width of my father’s bed when he was small), named Linus, whom I never met but have heard stories about. Drawn over the course of at least two days for my paternal grandmother’s 85th birthday today, which she has spent in a hospital with broken arm.

AtomTaylor:

That’s proper Rizell family history right there. Hope its framed & hung.

Love it.

I just noticed the Bee that Linus is attempting to focus on.

Carcearion:

Best wish’s to your Grandma Admiral! Hope she manages to enjoy her birthday despite the arm, and that she makes a quick recovery.

Abecedar:

Nicely drawn and a great present for your granny

Timothy Archer:

love it , i can feel the cat in those eyes

Admiral:

Thank you kindly, folks! I’ve barely drawn vegetation before, and cats are difficult to draw.

It’s framed and hung. Too many work hours not to do so. Grandma is quite resilient on the health side of things and she hasn’t needed to operate the arm. Was less tired yesterday, so is recovering.

Also, the name in the bottom right is my brother’s signature, just because.
