[Archive] Looking for Troop models question

dirtywulf:

Hello and probably a common newbie post.

I am looking at a couple vender for infantry models and settling towards either forge world or Werewolf Miniatures Tartaruk

I can not seem to google find anyone posting Warewolf models. Anyone have a good photo or knowledge if Warewolf Tartaruk models look good on the table and how easy are they to paint?

Wildist:

sons of Adremelech

This is the best I can find.

You can also look for “sons of Adremelech” in google images.

I’ve had my eye on those Werewoolf models for a while but sooo much else to work on that it hasn’t been a priority. They do have a significantly different lool than many other model lines so mixing them with other manufacturers might look odd. My philosophy is everthing and the kitchen sink. Brought together with uniform paint jobs. So ultimately it depends on what you are planning to build. Would be good to see some completed units of them here.

There was a recentish post thread about their hell cannon model on here somewhere. Cheers! JR

forgeworld ones are amazing sculpts and casts, i went with them they are just flawless.

Jackswift:

You might also look at Russian Alternative 'The Dwarves of Fire Canyon" models, Titan Forge ‘Sons of Krashen Va’, and MOM Miniatures out of Spain. I second that thr FW Infernal Guard models are nicely done, but bear in mind that they have minimal variation of sculpt for a unit.

Or you take a look at the Wiki, there are even further companies. Chaos dwarfs have lots of alternative support, historical reasons I think :-).

Carcearion:

If you like the sons of Aldremelech you might actually like Mantic’s Abyssal Dwarves, they look off-putting at first because of the paint scheme they have them done up in, but if you look at unboxings the sculpts are really quite cool.

Personally though I don’t think anything beats Rozmax’s sculpts for the Russian Alternative’s Dwarves of Fire Canyon if you like big hats.

dirtywulf:

Thanks!  I have been looking at the Russian alternative and will get the berserkers.

I did find the sons of Adremelech photo during a long image search and don’t remember where.  That is a great photo of the two models side by side.

I really leaning toward warewolf for the infantry as they have an odd unique and fascinating look them.   Probably end up with a mix and match of several venders in the end.  But gotta start somewhere.

Thx taking a look and see old editions in the list.  Very cool.  I used to play against a Chaos Dwarf army big hats 4th edition? before storm of chaos and till last year or so ago was playing a very old list and original models. I recognize the 1994 blunderbusses.

Jackswift:

Titan Wargames models are also very nice. A similar size and of a complimentary style to the FW models.

Yep Titan has some nice dwarf models. More dynamic than FW's. But I think that Cinneron Dhum would make a great sorcerer!
