Admiral:
Hi, whilst searching Swedish E-bay for decent cameras I found a cheap camera, Kodak Digital Science DC260 Zoom.
I get lost trying to find its zoom and macro qualities on its website, so can any of you with camera knowledge or superior search-fu please tell me if the camera will be good enough to take sharp pictures of miniatures?
And what macro/zoom qualities is sufficient for shooting good pictures of Warhammer models?
Bloodbeard:
I think we should do more in painting our miniatures with featherpen and different colours of ink.
Admiral:
Do you have any good macro tips for goose feathers?
Admiral:
What do you think about these ones? Fuji Finepicz JZ300 and SONY CyberShot DSC-W220 12.1mp?
Just judging from the given information (in Swedish) I believe the Sony of the two is a secure purchase, since it was new back in 2011. Any advice would be welcome.
torn:
I have a 10mpxl Fuji I bought over 8 years ago, has super macro and even though it is outdated looking works great for miniature photography. Getting the light source right is hardest for me.

I also got a Fuji as today, to be sent with the mail. Do you have any tips for getting pictures from the camera uploaded to the computer? I’m a complete novice to this kind of thing and any pointers as to what equipment need to be bought etc. would be much appreciated.

There should be a cable to connect the camera to the computer via the USB port. Once you connect them up it should be as easy as copying files from a memory stick.
Admiral:
Thanks! That’s what I expected but couldn’t be sure about. I’ll visit the electronics store if the cable is missing in the purchase.
