ABYSSAL DWARFS

-Ronnie has confirmed restic releases for the Abyssal Dwarves for later this year. They will include restic halfbreeds as well as large mortars, while the other releases will be announced at a later date.

-Slave Orcs will be part of this release. Ronnie has stated they will be based on the current Orc sprues although likely with different arms. Their official Mantic paint scheme will also like be something other than green, to reflect the fact that they have spent a lifetime underground.

I assume they’ll try and match the FW stuff?

no but they have hobgoblins, and mantic orcs may be used as such i guess since they are smaller in size than the gw ones.

In their newsletter they said somehing about checking on their website next wensday since Ronnie is going to talk about some new stuff for their Kings of War range.

Here’s to hoping for some riders to go along with any other slaves they’ll be releasing… Also hoping for some good halfbreeds - one of the critical miniatures missing from the range right now…

a preview for the new KoW staff that come up in june, but nothing mentioned about chaos(abussal) dwarfs.

I think they are going to reveal more in the newsletter though, so i’ll wait for that.

I think they are quite nice. If I didn’t have a stron investment in Bull Centaurs, I’d definitely consider them.

The Halfbreeds sadly keeps to the rest of the Abyssal Dwarves’ quality level, but the new slavedriver, daemon rabbit squig and mortar are actually good. I might even buy them, later on.

I think they missed a trick making them for cav sized bases. Warhammer Forge ones are blatently going to be HUGE.

The bases they are on look bigger then 25X50mm cav bases. I do agree with you though, the FW centaurs are going to be on at least 50mm bases and will be large.

Bull Centuars have been moved into the Monstrous Cav category which in my opinion is where they should be.

It will be interesting to see how big FW actually makes them.
