There are quite a few miniatures ranges that include such things, your best bet is just to go browsing

I believe it was on HoH, but somebody sculpted their own. They used card for the main part, sprues for the membranes and dwarf crossbow bow-sections to symbolise the cogs and workings. Maybe some self-made cogs too at the join etc. Could always use a jetpack
