[Archive] Minotaur Shoulder Pads

Has anyone else seen these? http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff/MINOTAURS-SHOULDER-PADS.html

I think they’d be ideal to make some heavily armoured Dawi Zharr. There’s even a skull on a hook…

Wifstrand:

You’re right! Those are neat. Do anyone have some Space Marine shoulder pads at hand for some comparison pictures? I sadly have not. And I only have Mantic Abyssal Dwarves anyway…

snowblizz:

Compared to what?

That said it strikes me I don’t have my camera round so the question is academic. Though technically all my questions are always academic…

Hashut’s Blessing:

They would be the sme size as any other space marine shoulder pads - otherwise they wouldn’t go on anything

The symbol does fit the LoA symbol quite well though. Not sure how it’d be incorporated on infantry models, but it’d work well on larger ones (BCs, K’daai etc?).

Wifstrand:

With ‘compare’ I obviously didn’t mean to other space marine shoulder pads… I meant compared to the different Chaos Dwarf figures used nowadays.

I do know that, compared to the chaos dwarf hellcannon crew, space marine shoulder pads look suitably bulky and good, the dwarfs just look very heavily armored. I'm not sure about the forgeworld stuff.

I'd say a bit too large for most CD models. I've tried to use them on conversions based on the 6ed Dwarf plastics but they were just too big. Marauder shoulderpads were much better.

They may if you managed to get the purity seals off.
